“What do you mean?” He asked, arching a brow.
“What do you mean?” He asked, arching a brow.
"You're slowing down." He says simply
“Sorry, I was just looking at what was going on back there,” Corbin responded slowly. He looked back at the road and sped back up.
Matrix's arms tremble from pressing himself against the seat, "O-ok…Ya know you kind of have to treat me like that. Like garbage to not be suspicious. Like back in the restaurant." He had no idea what he was saying.
Corbin frowned at that. “Sure I may have to say a few things, but I’m sure as hell not going to hit you, Matrix,” he said. One of his hands left the steering wheel and he held it out. “Come on, give me your hand.”
Matrix sniffs, slapping his hand away, "Two hands on the wheel! Have you ever been to drivers ed?!"
“Matrix, I know know to drive,” Corbin huffed. “Now come on.” He shook his head slowly.
"I don't trust these human sardine cans." Matrix snarls but claps his hand in Corbin's anyway.
Corbin laced his fingers with Matrix’s. “I’m not going to hurt you like that,” he stated after a moment of silence.
Matrix snorts, the tip of his tail (the poisonous part) clicking menacingly, "Though. You where a bit obvious back at the Diner. So I think to make it seem more legit. You should act just the nastiest toward me next stop. Like act like that guy back there. It'll raise less suspicion." He looks over at Corbin
Corbin sighed at that. “I know i should, but it would be hard, you know? I don’t want to treat you like i used to. I care about you now,” he said.
"Aw. That's cute. But still. Try. Or channel what you saw a few (days?) ago at that mansion that you sold me to."
Corbin scoffed sharply at that. “That’s illegal, not that anyone would care,” he muttered with a sharp frown. He remembered when that happened, and he felt a pang of guint go through him.
"But still. You have to treat me more like garbage then you where at the Diner." He lets go of Corbin's hand and sighs, "I mean. Really all I think you'll do is cause bruises. And those aren't too bad."
“I’m not leaving marks on you,” Corbin said in a shaper tone, now. “It’s not happening. I can raise my voice, but I’m not doing that.”
Matrix shrugs, "Alright but it'd seem more legit. I'm a demon and know how to act pretty well. So. If I where you I would heed what I'm saying." He suddenly had a flashback to a time in the 1500s when he terrorized and entire family by pretending to be a little girl
Corbin slowly shook his head. He ran his hand through his hair before resting it back on the wheel.
"They're just bruises… they'll heal within the day… you humans aren't very smart… trying to help you guys is hard… also trying to protect you too…" he mutters darkly under his breath
“What are you talking about, Matrix?” Corbin asked with a sharp sigh.
"Diesnt matter to you apparently. " Matrix hisses back, tapping his talons on the dash board
“I don’t know what you’re implying,” Corbin said. He forced himself to stay looking at the road.
"Mm… Like I said. It doesn't matter."
“Alright, Matrix,” Corbin responsed, an annoyed edge to his tone as he spoke. He drive the rest of the way in silence, eventually pulling up to the clothing store.
Matrix poms his ears back as he steps out, "Remember what I told you." He hisses to Corbin
Corbin rolled his eyes and shook his head slowly. He parked and got out of the car after turning it off.
(Oh I thought he already parked XD) Matrix snarls, stepping out of the car.
(Lol no)
Corbin waited fr Matrix before walking with him up to the front door. He went inside with Matrix, relieved to see it wasn’t too crowded.
Matrix snarls at all the clothes, "Gross. I remember Belial dragging me to these places… That wasn't fun."
“Well you need new clothes. Now quit talking,: Corbin muttered under his breath to Matrix.
Matrix snarls, mumbling darkly under his breath as he follows Corbin
