“Babe, how did you get so stuck?” Lilah wondered.
“Babe, how did you get so stuck?” Lilah wondered.
Cameron giggled softly. “I’m just too big.”
“Maybe I could lift the bed up slightly?” Lilah mused as she looked at the bed.
Cameron shook his head. “You could hurt yourself!”
“But… How are you going to get out?” Lilah asked.
“I’ll figure it out, babe. You go find something to eat.” He set a hand on hers.
“I don’t want to leave you alone, though,” Lilah sighed, turning her hand so she was holding his.
Cameron gazed up at her. “You could call something up?”
“Phone calls, though,” Lilah groaned.
Cameron rolled his eyes. “Hand over the phone.”
“But you don’t like them either,” Lilah said as she grabbed the phone and handed it to him.
“I like food more.” Cameron called the kitchens to order something.
“Are you sure?” Lilah asked as she watched him. “You didn’t have to.”
Cameron spoke in messy French, squinting at a menu. It was intelligible, mainly because of his understanding of the Romantic languages.
“Right. You’re in the phone. I’ll shut up now,” Lilah muttered.
Cameron spoke for a few more moments, raising an eyebrow. He hung up soon after and grinned at her.
“Sorry. What were you saying?”
“Just that you didn’t have to do that is all,” Lilah said with a shrug.
Cameron shrugged and handed her the phone. “I really don’t mind.”
“If you’re sure…” Lilah said as she put the phone away.
Cameron set his hand back on hers. “I’m positive.”
“Okay,” Lilah said with a smile at him. “Any chance you know how to get out yet?”
Cameron grinned back, only to grimace. “No. Not yet.”
Lilah sighed and laid down beside the bed. “I’ll stay here until you do…”
Cameron grabbed her into the best hug he could. “I’m sorry I got stuck.”
“Well, I wish you hadn’t, but it’s okay babe,” Lilah chuckled.
Cameron chuckled too. “It kinda hurts. But I can live like this.”
“No, no. If it hurts that’s not good. I’m sure I can lift the bed high enough and long enough that you can get out. Why don’t I try?”
Cameron shook his head. “I don’t want you hurt on our honeymoon!”
“But you’re hurting, and I want to help you,” Lilah insisted.
“Bleeehhhhhhh I’ll be fine.” He waved her off.
