(Sorry!)
Mal chuckled gently and shook his head. “You don’t look weird in your armor. Come on.”
(Sorry!)
Mal chuckled gently and shook his head. “You don’t look weird in your armor. Come on.”
“And how would you know that?” She slipped the bookmark into her and placed it down next to her.
“Because I am your general. I know what the armor looks like, and you are my friend.” He smiled.
“I- ugh, fine,” She stood up and unfurled her wings. She picked up her sword.
Mal leaned off of his spear and stepped out of her way. “Good luck, Cassandra.”
“Gee, thanks,” She stepped out of the tent, the fields appearing before her. The enemy line at the horizon. Demons, “And now lets hope my book doesn’t get ruined,”
Mal went back into the tent and grabbed her book, putting it in a satchel. “I’ll keep it safe for you, then.”
“Thanks, but-“ She stopped herself.
Mal grinned. “But what? Your book’ll be safe with me.”
“What’s everyone else going to think? Of me? My armour? My technique? They haven’t seen me fight before,”
Mal nudged her gently with his left wing. “Don’t worry about it. You’ll do fine.”
(Sorry, I fell asleep)
“Yeah, Okay,” She gripped the hilt of her sword tighter.
Mal glanced up. “Good luck, Cass. I know you’ll do wonderfully.”
“Thank you Malach,” She took a deep breath, it has been a long time since the most “recent” war.
Mal buttoned up his sachet, tucked it into his jackets and armor, then ran off, his wings beating as he prepared to take flight.
She stretched her wings out, enjoying the last time she could soak in the sun.
Mal launched off, then scooped down closer to the lines. The battle was going to begin soon.
(Skip?)
(Umm sure, yeah)
(To the end of the battle?)
(flops arms around Blub blub blub, Around the end of the battle?)
(Is that okay?)
(Sure!)
(Okay then,)
She lay on the blood soaked grass, catching her breath. The battle would soon end, she knew it. She covered herself with her wings, building a form of protection from the outside world for these few moments she needed.
Mal landed near a raging Demon, who was just a spinning, growling fluffy mess. Mal knocked him to the ground with his wings, which cleared his view of a lump of wings on the ground. He stabbed his spear through the Demon and ran over to the lump of white and blood.
I'm still alive right . . . ? She opened her eyes and peeked up. Yes, She dropped her head down again.
Mal kneeled and poked the lump with his spear. “Hey there. Are you okay?”
“Just . . . Catching my breath . . .” She said. That wasn’t completely true. “Did . . . You, need to poke . . . Me . . .”
Mal blinked. “Cass? Are you okay?” He tucked his hands under her and lifted her to her feet.
“I don’t know,” She truly did not know if she was okay. Where’s my sword?
Mal lifted up her sword off of the ground and put it back into her sheath. “Let’s get you back, before you get hurt.”
