"What's it like in Maine?" Jasmine asks. "I grew up in Malaysia until I was 10 then moved to Nebraska. Then when I met my fiance I moved here."

Aspen thought for a minute. “I dunno, green. And really warm in the summer. But in winter it is freezing. And a lot of snow. And trees. Lots and lots of trees.” Shesaid.

Jay's eyes widened. "Ooh, like pine forests? The pretty kind? I've always wanted to drive through a pine forest on a road trip or something."

(Hey guys I'm busy tonight with other stuff, so I'll be gone till tomorrow.)
Addison gave the new gril a quick smile and nod in greeting, then left to her room to finish packing.

Aspen smiled and nodded. “Yes! They’re so pretty. I used to try to climb them when I was little.” She laughed, the sweet sound filling the air.

"Have you ever seen a Black Dragon Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis?"

“A what??” Aspen asked

"A Black Dragon Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis. It's basically a dark purple hibiscus. Really beautiful. My mother used to have a garden full of them back in Malaysia.

She thought for a moment. “No, I don’t think I’ve seen one. I’ve seen lady slippers and Daisy’s. And probably a lot more I don’t know the names of. What’s it like when you’re from?” Aspen asked.

"It's so beautiful. If you live in the cities, the lights are magical and it's really modern looking. If you live in the untouched part, there's lots of forests and it's so green. And if you live near a beach, the water is so clear and it's really tropical. It's really just a beautiful place to live and visit."

Jay whistled. "Man, you guys come from nice sounding places."

“Wow. That sounds pretty cool.” She smiled, showing her white teeth.

“And yes, I did. It was a beautiful peaceful place.” Aspen said, turning towards Jay.

Jay's grin lightened to a small smile. "Yeah, wish I came from somewhere like that. Sounds like it'd be nice to grow up in a forest or a nice city."

"Anyway…Are we gonna go pack for the mission?"

Aspen stopped laughing. “Uh. Yeah. You guys can go pack. I don’t have anything to pack. I travel lightly.”

"I'm more or less packed, just gotta grab my bag."

"Yeah. Me too. I'll be back in two minutes with everything I need," Jasmine says as she disappears, her black plait leaving the room 5 seconds after she does.

Jay walked into one of the nearest rooms and returned with a large duffel bag and an even larger sniper rifle slung across his back

"Ok, I'm back. That took a shorter amount of time than I thought."

"Ya think they're providing transportation? I mean I've got a ship, I just don't know if we'll need it."

“I hope they have transportation. How are we supposed to get there? Walk?” Aspen laughed.

“Hey guys! Are all of you ready?” Asked Lucille, popping into the room. She had a backpack slung on one of her shoulders and a suitcase next to her.

"I am," Jasmine says. "So, how are we getting there?"

“… In a spaceship… what else.”
