Ryker jumped out of the car and stretched. He kept a wary hand on his pocket, remembering what happened last time they were at a gas station.

(Yeah.)
(Which monster? Can it have a sword.)
(Nemean lion? Dracenae?)
She put the pump thing in the van and leaned against it as the van filled up. She pulled her wallet out and handed Ryker a twenty. "Go get some snacks and a Dr. Pepper. You can use the rest to get yourself something."
(Nemean lion? Dracenae?)
(Doesn't matter.)
Kaden hopped our of the van and stretched, glaring at the van. He had come to hate it.
“Just saying, but glaring at the van won’t make it more comfortable,” Ryker said before going into the station.
Phoebe snorted. She sighed and leaned her head back, closing her eyes.

(I think the Nemean lion would be fun, but you guys can pick)

(I’m fine with the lion)
Tealle walked out of the bathroom and stretched again, glad there weren't any monsters around and she could actually move. She grabbed a candy bar and looked for more food she'd want.
Ryker wandered around the shop, not really keen on anything. He kept an eye on the outside so that if a monster came he’d be able to help.
Elizabeth went inside the store and wandered around.
Phoebe pit up the pump when the van was filled and waited for Ryker and the other girls to get back.
Tealle grabbed some chips, more candy, and a water before going to the counter to check out.
“Hey Tealle, what day is it?” Elizabeth asked.
He didn’t buy anything and walked back out. Something seemed off, though.
"Uhhhh… I think it's Thursday?" Tealle said, trying to find a ten dollar bill from her jeans back pocket.
Her eyebrows furrowed. "What's wrong?" She asked Ryker, her body tensing.
“… I meant the date. Like March 31st?”
"Oh, uhhhhh… I don't know…" Tealle turned to the cashier, "What's the date?"
Ryker looked around, unable to pinpoint what was making him feel uneasy. Finally, his eyes settled on something glinting in the light. A giant tail was swishing, its owner behind the station. “That’s what’s wrong,” he said, pointing at it.
Her eyes widened. "Thats….dear gods…" She stumbled back a couple steps.
"Yeah, it's March 31st," Tealle told Liz, "Thanks, and keep the change," Tealle said to the cashier and handed him the $10 bill she had.
He put a hand on her shoulder. “The Nemean lion,” he growled, taking out his pencil and flipping it around.
"Yeah, I see that." She grabbed her knife and not so subtly maneuvered behind Ryker.
Alex got out of the van to stretch her legs. she saw Ryker looking at something, she followed his gaze and saw the lion. "well that's just great" she sighed and drew her swords
Kaden pushed his sister behind him. "You don't move from behind me. You do and you're grounded."
