Kasey hummed and closed her eyes. "What do you have for food…?"
Kasey hummed and closed her eyes. "What do you have for food…?"
“I think we have chocolate chip waffles.. you like waffles, right?” Barry’s mouth moved to her cheek, then back to her jaw and eventually her neck. (Not in a weird way)
(Lol.)
"Yeah. Waffles are good," Kasey said with a smile. "Especially chocolate chip waffles."
“Then it’s settled.” Barry forced himself to sit up, smiling down at her. His hair was ridiculously messy, sticking up in all directions.
Kasey pushed herself into a sitting position, smiling back at him. "Can I help?"
“Sure, sweetheart.” He grinned, rubbing his eyes before standing, reaching forward, and easily scooping her up into his arms. He carried her towards his and Caleb’s small dining area, grinning ridiculously.
Kasey laughed and batted at his arm. "Put me down!"
“Nope.” Barry grinned, spinning her around.
"How'm I supposed to help you if I'm being held?" Kasey giggled.
“Moral support.” Eventually, though, he set her down gently, placing a loving kiss on her lips.
Kasey held the kiss for a bit, placing one hand on Barry's cheek. When she pulled away, she grinned at him.
"If that's what happens when we try to cook, I'm not complaining, but we won't get anything done," she giggled.
Barry laughed and pulled away. He opened the freezer pulling out a box of frozen waffles. “Organic waffles, they’re part of Caleb’s stash.”
"Oh, perfect. So much less work than I was thinking," Kasey said with a light laugh. "I think I'll have two."
Barry grinned, popping four in the toaster. “We have Nutella and bananas, if you want. Or maple syrup.”
"Oh, Nutella, definitely!" Kasey said, grinning. "Where is it? I'll grab it."
“In the cupboard over there,” Barry pointed, grabbing two plates and a banana, which he began to cut into thin slices.
Kasey hummed in acknowledgment and made her way over to grab it. "Got it. Thanks," she said as she got hold of it.
Barry finished cutting up the bananas, and the toaster popped. He grabbed the waffles, set then on their plates, and brought out two forks. “Yum.”
"Mm… Those look so good," Kasey hummed as she set the jar of Nutella on the table and sat down.
Barry wholy agreed. He began to spread Nutella on his waffle, stomach growling. “What’s your schedule for the day?”
"I've got a few classes this morning, then a break for lunch. After that, I have another class. And then I have the late shift at work," Kasey said, also spreading Nutella on her waffles.
“I guess I won’t see you much today, then.” Barry took a rueful bite of his waffle.
"We could get lunch together," Kasey suggested with a light blush as she glanced up from her waffle to look at him.
“That would be nice,” he smiled, kissing her cheek.
"It would," Kasey agreed with a smile before taking a bite of her waffle. "Where do you think we should go?"
“Up to you, I chose last time.” Barry smiled back, leaning over to wipe a smidge of Nutella off the corner of her mouth.
Kasey smiled more at the gesture. "Hm… What do you think about old-fashioned diners?"
“I’ve never been,” Barry started, “but they sound intriguing.”
"There's a really nice one not far from campus. They've got really good burgers and milkshakes," Kasey explained as she continued to eat her waffles.
“Oh yum, so like a ‘50s sort of thing?”, he asked, chewing his lip.
