Ryker closed his eyes and held Phoebe’s hand tighter. There dreams were different, but not any better. His dad’s words flashed in his mind again. You’re supposed to be in Tartarus…

She ran her thumb over his knuckles gently. She sighed and focused on the road. "Are you guys hungry?" She asked the others.

Tealle nodded, "I'm hungry."

“Nope.” Elizabeth said.
(This reminds me when yesterday I accidentally skipped dinner because i was planning to eat later and then at 1:40 AM on my bed i realized i skipped it. I am super healthy.)

"McDonald's or Chick-f-la?"

"Chick-f-la," Tealle answered.

She nodded and pulled over at the first one she saw. "What do you want?"

"Just get me the cheapest thing," she didn't want to have to spend her friend's money.

She got Tealle and herself something, and a little extra for Ryker in case he got hungry when he woke up.

Tealle happily chowed down on her food, "Thanks," Tealle told Phoebe between mouthfuls.

She nodded. She ate a little bit as she drove.

“So our plan is to drive north until something comes up?”

She nodded. "We'll stop in Quebec and see where to go from there."

“Okay.” Elizabeth said, leaning back in her chair. Revisiting good movie and book scenes in her head.

Kaden sighed and stretched out in the back. He leaned his head on the nearest person and closed his eyes.
