Alto walked slowly to his first class, keeping his head down. He wasn't his normal happy self.
Alto walked slowly to his first class, keeping his head down. He wasn't his normal happy self.
Halo walks, leaning on Alex tiredly, the boys from the football teem snickering as they watch him limp.
Alto glanced back at Halo one more time worriedly before walking into the building, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Halo stumbles slightly, Alex catching him quickly. "Halo…" He sighs as Halo continues walking to his class.
Alto walked to his first class and sat down, waiting for it to start.
Halo sighs quietly and Alex sits him down.
Alto went from class to class, doing his work in silence.
Halo did the same, exhausted.
Alto sighed in relief as the last bell rang, signaling the end of the day. He texted Halo, asking where he was.
Halo texts back, explaining he was talking with the football coach.
Alto told him he’d be out on the bleachers when he was done and walked outside, climbing to the top of the bleachers and sitting down, watching their practice.
Halo wasn't practicing. He was having a serious talk with his coach, explaining everything and why he was leaving the team. He said goodbye to his coach before taking Alto's hand and leading them away.
"Not feeling up to practice today?" Alto asked.
Halo smiles. "Actually. I left the team." He says simply.
“Wh-Why?! I thought you loved football?” Alto looked over at him.
Halo smiles. "I do. But I'd rather be on a team that welcomes me for my sexuality, than one that doesn't. I don't like coming home with bruised and cuts. And I'd rather hang out with my brother than play a stupid game." He hugs Alex.
“Awww that’s good.” Alto smiled, bopping his brothers on the nose.
Halo smiles and ruffles his hair affectionately.
“I never liked you playing football. It always made me worried.” He said.
Halo chuckles, "Well. Now I'm not." He hugs his brother as they walked.
Alto put his arm around Halo and smiled as they walked. “How’s Alex?”
Halo smiles. "He's okay. Busy. He's trying to take care of his little siblings, deal with work, and school."
“Oooohohohohohoohoooo so you talk to him a lot?” Alto smirked.
Halo chuckles. "Of course… Also… I've been meaning to tell you." He decided to tell his brother the truth. "Alex and I are… Ya know… A thing now."
“Wh-how-s-since when?!” He spluttered, staring at Halo.
Halo smiles. "It just kinda happened." He ruffles his hair gently.
“I want to talk to him!” Alto demanded, turning around and yanking Halo along with him.
Halo laughs. "He went home bro." He easily halts his brother. "He needs to worry about his siblings."
“Why would he go home?!” Alto asked loudly, scowling.
Halo laughs softly. "Because his job, his mom is sick. Let him be. We can talk tomorrow."
