Dante stood at the corner of the street, assuming that today would be a day like any other. He watched people walk by, normal people living their normal lives. A smirk played across his face at his thoughts. He was often lost in thought, but he heard something that he'd never heard before. A voice, deep and charismatic, was ordering him to walk across the street. Difficult though it was, Dante continued to resist the urge to do as he was bidden, despite the pain that came with the effort.
A man stood up from a café across the street, an evil smile playing across his lips as he slowly walked over.
"Quite the display of control," he said. "I would've thought that you would've been easier to control. Your strength will be beneficial to you, but could also be your greatest downfall." He clapped a hand on Dante's shoulder before walking away, muttering to himself. Dante didn't hear much, but he made out the names "Asura" and "Matthias" and something about "their power."

Asura leaned against a wall on the street, examining his nails. "I need a new manicure," he muttered, brushing something off of the cuff of his patterned jacket, which was perfectly clean and ironed. He turned, and began to walk toward a cafe, where a small sign was labeled "Mindshaker". However, he was pulled in a different direction by a voice that was speaking in his head. Asura clenched his fists, looking around. His gaze landed on a man, smirking at him from across the street.
"How interesting," he mouthed, turning to walk away. Names began to flash in front of his vision. "Matthias", "Dante", and "Jamie". He called back to the man that was walking away. "Dude, what the hell?" He shouted.
