“So grave yard it is.” Cade and Chelsea nodded. Honestly, they only wore a masquerade mask to respect the host and the party’s theme. Anyone who knew Wonderland knew who they were within a minute.

Oh… No the twins, If anyone here has a chance of recognizing me it's them. Madelyn worked to keep her face and eyes out of the twin's sight.

@AvaM_Star

"We better get started it's a bit of a walk to get there," Madelyn says nervously taping her fingers on the side of her leg.

@AvaM_Star

"Sorry, dear there are no shining cities where we are going," Madelyn said with very little emotion I hate the graveyard the land is so stained by memories of the past it disrupts all cross temporal divination, but that also includes me.

"Grave…graveyards?" The smaller girl, Cyprus, spoke up concernedly as she began to walk next to Oliver, a nervous frown plastered on her face. She adjusted the rabbit mask resting on the bridge of her nose, hoping that they wouldn't encounter anything there.

"What, are you afraid?" Oliver answered with a teasing smile, hoping that it would offer some sort of reassurance to the daughter of the white rabbit. He wasn't too scared of strange things since he had been surrounded by them for most of his life, though graveyards had always made him a bit nervous. He didn't like the idea of walking around buried people.

Madelyn tried to keep her eyes from wondering amongst the graves. Trying to prevent herself from using her ability, by trying to to dwell on or in one spot to long. Trying to stay detached as long as possible. It didn't help that her own nerves were on high alert with these people.

Reyna immediately floated to the nearby pond, tossing the shell in. Her gut told her that Theta should be here. And her mother always told her to listen to her gut. She also unclapsed the mask and slid it into her handbag. Uncomfortable as she was around these people (minus the Chesires, of course), this had to start with names.

@AvaM_Star

"You should not throw things into the grieving wells," Madelyn said looking over at Reyna, "They are spiritual places that grieving people can use to come to terms with their loss, please don't disrespect them."

Just then, a geyser of water flew into the air, and Theta stepped out of the mist, a champagne glass still in her hand. The pale pink skirts of her dress floated in the water, looking like fallen rose petals. "Already?" she teased. "This a bit unorthodox for a lovers' tryst, but I suppose we can make it work- oh. You've brought a friend."

@AvaM_Star

Madelyn's was a mixture of horror, disbelief, and a little bit of anger, "Please get out of the water. This is inappropriate, using a grieving well to summon your girlfriend."

"You people use this to bury your dead in?" Theta looked down at the muddy pond, algae smeared on one side of her dress. "And you want me to get out? Gladly." She waded towards the bank, brushing tiny beads of water off of her dress. As she ran her fingers through her dark hair, it slowly lightened and turned a bright lavender, her pale skin turning dark gray as well. A slip of paper with a strange rune on it suddenly appeared on her arm, peeling off and drifting away in the water.

@AvaM_Star

"No, not burry, can't you see the grave stones?" Madelyn glared at her, "They are used to comfort the living. A grieving well can let you see the people who have passed on and even ask for advice." She walked over to the edge and kelt down."It's a place for the living not the dead." She placed a hand just barely on the surface of the water, I apologize, on their behalf. She pulled her hand away, I miss you.

"Oh," Theta said softly, wincing. Sorry. "I apologize. I'm… not very good at reading stagnant water."

@AvaM_Star

Madelyn wince at the word Stagnant it had such negative connotation, "Underground springs with surface access pools, that water is at best still… not stagnate." She said standing up, "I under stand it might seem like silly superstition, but around here and at home it's tradition."

"I still don't fully understand, but I assume that it holds just as much importance as a coral reef. We believe that the souls of dead merfolk turn into sea foam and are reborn into the beautiful coral. … I assume that Reyna has told you about who I am?"
