"Benjamin Strat is the popular boy in Dublin Jerome High School, smart, charismatic, empathic, anything a teenage girl could ever want. But not to Ruby Red, the shy and mysterious aspiring actor.
Ben has had a crush on Ruby ever since she popped out of nowhere, sporting her simple yet beautiful styles and alluring ways. Rumor has it she's been at the school since freshmen year, but Colombus is a big place.

PLOT TWIST
He's a rapist, he's had five victims, got away without getting in trouble and Ruby would've been next if she had resisted his pursuit futher. Ruby got close to him to find evidence against his crimes since her best friend was his last victim. She's an actor and she's good at it. Faking loving a rapist to save the lives of various other girls her age. She gathers evidence against him and by the end of the book, he's in jail.
This is in the POV of Ben, and we believe he's the good guy the entire time, and as Ruby gets more mysterious and Ben believes she's "Cheating on him", we believe with him. She's the true hero of this story, taking risks to shoot down the man who ruined so many girls' lives.
