“Then I’ll remind you.”, she whispered gently, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
“Then I’ll remind you.”, she whispered gently, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
“I’m sorry…for everything..” He said, laying down a bit and closing his eyes.
“Stop apologizing.”, she murmured, stroking his forehead.
“I can’t..” He said sleepily. “You get sleep too.”
“Mmhm.”, she mumbled, knowing full well that she wouldn’t.
Tyler nodded his head and slowly dozed off, terrified of waking up in the morning.
(Yeah)
Tyler woke suddenly, sitting up and looking around. “M-macha?” He asked, trying to recall the events of yesterday. We…we did something..someone is dead..Jason. Jason is dead.
Macha was immediately on full alert. “Tyler? What’s wrong?”
"What happened yesterday? I…I can't remember.."
Macha hugged him tightly, stomach sinking. How much should I tell him?? Holding true to her word, though, she told him everything, making sure to make herself seem more like the villain.
"Don't lie to me Macha. Stop trying to make yourself sound horrible."
Macha bit her lip. “I’m not lying to you.”, she said softly. “Everything I told you was true.” And it was, she’d only told it in a light meant to portray herself badly.
"But why do you make yourself sound so bad?" He asked quietly, feeling vulnerable.
Macha only hugged him tighter. “Because this is my fault. Let’s go have breakfast, hm?”
"No it's not. Breakfast does sound good though.."
Macha helped him up, leading him to the kitchen. “We’ve got waffles, I think.”
"O-okay.." He said, walking to the kitchen. "I'm sorry..It's just..hard. I don't feel like myself. Everything is so..unfamiliar.."
“Stop apologizing.”, she repeated her words from the past night softly. “And after breakfast, we can work on a map of the house together, to remind you. We’ll write up lists and reminders.” She’d had a lot of time during his deep sleep to contemplate their next moves.
"I remember the house..I think..It's harder with regular memories..things that have happened.." He said, walking over to her and getting some food out.
“Sit down, relax, I’ll set the table.”
"Are you sure?"
“Yes.”
A few minutes later, Macha was sitting next to Tyler, a chocolate chip waffle on each of their plates.
"Thank you. I love you." He smiled, leaning over and kissing her.
Macha smiled into the kiss, glad that at least part of him was intact. “I love you too.”
"Good. Tell me this, when was the first time I kissed you?"
Macha smiled, a bit sadly, remembering. “I’d just been shot in the wing, you’d been shot in the leg, we managed to get inside safely.”
"Oh.." He frowned. "That's not very fun is it?"
“You don’t remember being shot? At all?”
"No..I do. I just don't remember who shot me.."
