Macha wished she was stronger, tried to draw herself up and comfort him. Her one hand pawed uselessly at his gun; it was empty anyways. “I am so sorry about your sister—“
“You couldn’t control it..” He said, kicking the gun away from her reach.
“But I did this to you— I’m hurting you— you’re goikg to keep forgetting everything— let me die— it’s going to happen anyways—“
“No Macha. I will never let you die. I will stay with you for the rest of your life..”
(I am glad you’re okay)
Macha shook her head. “Tyler.”, she pleaded. “Let me do this for you— I ruined your life, let me fix it.”
(thanks :)
"You didn't ruin my life Macha, I promise. You made it a thousand times better."
Macha shook her head again, tears smeared down her face. “I killed your sister— you’re forgetting everything— all of this— it’s all my fault— Tyler please let me die—“
"No..I won't let you die.."
“You’ll be happier without me.” Macha inhaled shakily.
"I wouldn't have a life without you.." He said quietly.
“But you would— you’d have memories— you’d have everything—-“
"But I would hate my life. I wouldn't have everything because I wouldn't have you.."
“But you should hate me—“
"I should…but I don't..the only feeling i'm positive about right now is my love for you.."
Macha just kept shaking her head and trying to blink away the fog. “But that doesn’t make any sense—-“
"I know it doesn't..just try and stay calm.."
(Morning! How are you?)
(Also I love how Tyler uses a lot of ‘…’ and Macha uses tons of ‘——‘)
Macha took a shuddering breath in. “Up there— when we were in our room— your voice— it was so cold—“
(I’m good hbu?)
(Yiiisss it’s kind of like Tyler has more to say but doesn’t know how to say it and Macha doesn’t know what to say and is really scared)
“I know..I’m sorry. It just..I forgot everything. I forgot how much I loved you and the only thing in my head was that thought.”
(Better)
(Yassss)
Macha gripped him tighter. “Tell me— tell me everything you remember.”
That’s good)
“I-I remember..I remember…pressing the gun to your head..and..and my sister..right before she died..and I remember seeing you for the second time..on the street..”
Macha tried again to blink away the fog, sitting cross legged in front of Tyler. “That’s— that’s it? What about— do you remember moving day? Do you remember your dad at all?”
“Moving day…you put your maps up on the wall..my father..he-he was in the office at the end of the hall. He’s always been at the office at the end of the hall..I forgot..”
Macha wrapped her arms around him, internally screaming at herself to be stronger. "What about– do you remember– you would always sit by the lake– do you remember–" She swallowed the oncoming tears. "Do you remember being shot? In the leg? Do you remember me trying to stitch it up– the demon–"
“The lake..?” He frowned slightly, lost in thought, trying to remember. “I got shot..in the leg…you got shot in the back..” He said, tracing his hand over her back.
Macha shivered slightly. "You're doing well so far– Tyler–" She inhaled deeply. "The lake– focus on the lake– do you remember why you loved it?"
“It was…really calm..” he said quietly.
Macha kept hold of him and his voice, trying to hold both him and herself together. "What did your sister look like?"
“…she had..long..wavy hair…blue like mine. Her eyes were blue as well..dark..like the lake..” He choked out, tears falling fast down his face. “She was always so happy..and curious…I miss her so much..” Tyler sobbed, his memory of her flooding back.
Macha rocked him back and forth a little, drowning in crushing guilt and sorrow. I'm so sorry. I am so unbelievably sorry.
“Please don’t leave me…” He pleaded quietly.
