"My sister was just a regular person, well, as regular as you can be with a demigod as an older sister, but she was a literal angel. She always listened," Sienne hesitated, not sure if she wanted to tell him the last part.
"My sister was just a regular person, well, as regular as you can be with a demigod as an older sister, but she was a literal angel. She always listened," Sienne hesitated, not sure if she wanted to tell him the last part.
Lewis caught Sienne's eye. "Is… Is she gone too?" He asked carefully.
"Ari?"
"W-what?"
(Why is everyone dead?)
Sienne sadly looked down, "Yeah," she was barely able to sign it out.
"Ari, I was afraid I'd hurt you! By the way if your water why are you afraid of fire?"
Ari sighed. She walked over to her bed and motioned for Siren to sit beside her.
Siren saw Ari tell her to sit by her so she did and said," Is it about our family? Is everyone else but you dead?"
Lewis didn't push any further and simply put a hand on Sienne's shoulder. He hoped he hadn't upset her, but he at least had learned something new about her and gotten something heavy off his own chest.
(WHY IS EVERYONE DEAD?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
(Because drama)
Ari nodded. "I never knew any other family than mom, but she died in a fire. Then…………………when I went into foster care………………….none of my foster families were nice. I got burned and hit when I did something that they didn't like."
(I don't think I'm too comfortable with that much drama)
Sienne could barely see, her eyes were clouded with tears, "It's ok, I've learned to cope with it."
"Bad luck with fire for a water gods child."
Ari nodded softly. "But I'll be okay. Just–I need to get used to the fact that I have a sister now. And that I need to start acting like a big sister." She gave her sister a half-smile.
Lewis saw the tears welling up in Sienne's eyes. "It helps to think about the happy memories for sure," he said, "I'm not even sure I feel sad about Raven anymore. I think about her a lot, but I guess she seems sort of like a dream now."
"Well… shouldn't water heal your scars? I've seen the on you no need to hide it."
Sienne nodded and wiped her tears away, "I'm glad to have someone I can talk to about this. Thank you, Lewis."
"I've had the scars for too long. They've started healing slowly, but it takes a long time."
"It always does help to have someone who has similar life experiences on your side," he admitted, "In all truth, I needed to talk about this, too, to someone I trust."
Hey, do you guys need someone to help get a bunch of animals on a boat?
I Noah guy
Sienne smiled at him, "I'm glad you can trust someone. Sometimes it's hard to know who to trust," she signed.
But then Siren had a terrible thought, what if my sister isn't Poseidon's daughter? But she quickly wiped that thought away.
(@Brokenchipmunk, I like you, you're just like a mushroom, you are both a fungi)
