"But think of the Hat's man. Forget buying them. I could make them! Like my dad used to. We could open a shop like he used to have!" Nykidia said excitedly.

"You do you." Cade chuckled, shaking his head.

"Well why not?" She asked Cade her hands on her hips.

Teresa smiled “how is he?” She asked about her dad

"He's doing OK. He's getting a little sad though. He wants to be able to wear his hat out in public but we'd get caught if he did. So we've been staying home a lot recently. He's been making more hats than ever but it's beginning to get a little hard to hid them all." she said pulling her hat down a bit.

Teresa smiled sadly “tell him to come visit!”

"I will when I get home." Nykidia sad as she finished of her sandwich. "How have the others been? I haven't seen them in a while."

“I haven’t left the house in over a month.” Teresa said quietly

"O my god. Girl you need to get out. You don't have to go into town but at least explore the forest man! It's spring and the flowers are blooming. The tree's are getting leafs and it is beautiful in the rain." Nykidia said shaking Teresa.

"I beg to differ. The rain is disgusting." Cade grumbled, gesturing to his soaked clothing.

Startling, Phoebe noticed she was dangerously close to the palace and took a couple steps back into the woods. She was about to turn around and leave when she saw two people squeezing out of a small hole. The red hair was unmistakable - Scarlet. And someone she didn’t vaguely recognize.

"I love rain! It's like the world is trying to clean it's self from the bad." Nykidia said looking out the window with a small smile of her face.

“Well you wouldn’t be soaking if you came in and dried yourself.” Teresa said

Scarlet let him go first and followed after, shaking moisture from her cloak and checking around anxiously for guards. There didn't seem to be anyone except– there. A girl, in the trees. Scarlet grabbed Virgil's arm. "There's someone watching us."

Cade rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything more. He peered off into the woods, disappointed to see that the rain was still coming down heavily.

When Scarlet’s eyes landed on her, Phoebe ducked back even further, preparing to run for it. She could only hope she didn’t resemble her family at the moment.

Nykidia giggled. "You scared of a little rain?" Nykidia teased.

Virgil's head shot up, a strange look in his eyes. "Where?" He hissed, his eyes searching the grounds for any guards.

"It's a girl– there." Scarlet pointed but the girl had already disappeared. "She looked familiar…"

"Do we follow her or try to run while we can?" He asked in a hushed whisper, he didn't want to loose Scarket so, sue him if he was paranoid.

Nykidia giggled. "You scared of a little rain?" Nykidia teased.

"Not scared. More like…rain is just really annoying." Cade replied, then a small smirk formed on his face. "That explains why you like it so much. You have a lot in common."

Scarlet thought fast. "Follow her. If she's working for Alice then we could knock her out before she gets the news to the Queen. If she's on the run, she could lead us to somewhere safe."

Virgil nodded. "Okay, you lead and I'll cover your back with my magic." He said, he held up a hand that was sparking with black and silver electricity-like magic.

"Thank you," She said looking back at him. "I hate it when people hide there feeling about me." She said smiling innocently.

Cade was slightly surprised by her response, but he didn't show it on his face. He just sighed dramatically and shook his head.

Nykidia smirked. "Hey Teresa?" Night asked.

Scarlet nodded and quickly made her way over to where she'd just seen the gir.

Phoebe ducked around a tree, but her hair, which had started to grow out, got caught on a branch. She cursed quietly to herself and began to plan what her last words would be.
