(Sorry, tonight was hectic)
Lydia stayed at the table, flipping through the pages of her book for another five minutes and then getting up to go to the keepers chamber where the keys were kept. She soon retreived them and found him in the psych hall a few minutes later, "You ready?" she asked
(Don’t worry about it! It’s all good!)
He slings two bags over his shoulder and nods curtly, “as ready as I’ll ever be I suppose”
Her breath began to quicken when she heard a sob come from one of the rooms on the left, "…I don't know about this…" she mumbled, her skin loosing all colour
Ellis shakes his head and lightly grabs her arm, “you can’t turn back now”
"No no no no" she hummed, backing up into a wall, her face flushing a chills going up her skin
He quickly drops her arm and looks her in the eyes, “Lydia…we have to go” He says in his calmest voice
She whined and followed him down the dark, narrow hall. Chills went up her arms as the crying got louder as they got closer to a door and a screaming started in the hallway beside them , causing her to jump
He walks as quickly as he can without running down the hall, not enjoying the noise but forging ahead, soon they reach the back door, he looks at Lydia, “this is it”
Lydia's hands were shaking and her body was pale as the reached into her pocket and fumbled with the keys, shoving them in the keyhole, pushing the door open and falling into the fall air, "This is it" she smiled, her body calming down
(I'll brb)
(Alright!)
(back)
He runs out of the door, taking deep breaths of fresh air and trying to calm any tears that might be rising as they’ve finally made an escape from that awful place. “We’re…out”
"Not completly, we need to climb the fence and then we are good. Luckily they don't keep barbed wires on it." she hummed walking over and grabing onto and scaling the fence, jumping off the top to the other side as if it was nothing
Ellis looks warily at the fence before starting to climb it, wobbling and trying not to fall. He manages to get over behind her, and quickly jumps down.
She smiles and ducks behind a bush to make sure nobody saw them leaving, "My goodness" she hummed, pulling the keys again out of her pocket, "I also got her car keys" she exclaimed, waving them in the air
“Do you know how to drive?” He asks, tilting his head
"I learned a little bit from my nona before she died" she replied, not really answering the question
“So you’ll be driving then…” he turns to her and then walks towards the parking lot
"Yes." she replied, trying her best to sound sure of herself as she hopped into the drivers seat and put the car into ignition.
Ellis climbs into the passenger and gets out a breath that he felt that he had been holding this whole time. He stares straight ahead, “so…where are we going?”
"Going to my aunts house to pick my mother freaking dog" she replied, stepping on the gas and pulling out of the parking lot
He brightens up slightly, more than he had ever been seen, but even then that’s not much, “a dog?”
"Yes! My baby pug that she took but not me." she replied, feeling his presense birghten next to her
“…I used to have a dog..well not have one…but it visited often and i would feed it” Ellis smiles and looks out of the window
"That's nice" she hummed, looking over an smiling at him gently
He looks down at his hands, “yeah…it was nice…how long has it been since you’ve seen your dog?”
"About two years. I made my aunt promise that she'd take good care of him and if she couldn't send him to a shelter and say when I got out he'd be waiting there for me" she replied, noticing that her wrists her showing. She shrugged her sleeves back down and continued to drive, hoping he hadn't seen the scars
Ellis stares curiously at her wrists for a moment before back down at his own hands, “where do we go after your aunts’ house? Do we stay? Or do we just keep driving until we’re out of gas?”
