(Yeah sure.)
Lucas woke up early the next morning and started getting ready for work. He had sometime before he had to go to work, but didn't know how much time he was going to spend with Daisy today.
'you up yet? -Lucas'
(Yeah sure.)
Lucas woke up early the next morning and started getting ready for work. He had sometime before he had to go to work, but didn't know how much time he was going to spend with Daisy today.
'you up yet? -Lucas'
Daisy was already unpacking more boxes when her phone went off.
DAISY: Yeah. What's up?
'wanna meet up somewhere? I can show you the coffee place. -Lucas'
DAISY: Sure! Where should I meet you?
'Remember the skate park? There should be good. Oh, want me to bring Dan still? -Lucas'
DAISY: Yeah, that sounds good. And you can bring him if you'd like.
'see you soon! -Lucas'
With that Lucas stuffed his phone into his pocket, grabbed his car keys and went to try and wake Dan up. "Dude, you're drunk aren't you?" He looked down at the pitiful mess he called a friend and sighed. "Well I'm gonna get going."
DAISY: Yeah, see you in a bit!
Daisy hummed as she changed into real clothes– a pink t-shirt and dark skinny jeans –and then brushed her hair and put on a bit of mascara. She smiled at herself a bit before grabbing her purse and keys and then heading out to the skate park.
Lucas was sitting on a bench, watching all the kids having fun. Wishing that he'd learned to skateboard, or BMX when he was younger. Though he knew he probably wouldn't have lived to see twenty if he had.
Daisy parked her car and stepped out. She glanced around a bit before she spotted Lucas, then smiled and headed his way.
"Hey," she greeted him when she reached him.
"Hey, so! We can either walk to the coffee place or we can drive, what do you wanna do?" Lucas gave her a warm smile.
"Well, it's pretty nice out. How close is it?" Daisy asked, sitting down next to him.
"Ten- fifteen minute walk I believe. Not far at all." Lucas shrugged.
"Then why don't we walk?" Daisy said with a smile as she stood back up.
Lucas smiled and stood too. "On the way there you can tell me all about your exciting life of moving."
"Hahaha. Yeah… Exciting," Daisy chuckled.
"Oh come on, some good things must have happened after you left." Lucas turned on his heels and started down the sidewalk.
"I mean, I just moved back yesterday," Daisy said with a shrug. "There hasn't been much that could happen. Other than you coming over to help, that is."
"No silly, I mean when you moved from here to where ever the heck you went the first time." Lucas laughed. "Where did you go? Was it Canada?" He joked.
"Oh…" Daisy blushed, feeling dumb. "No, I actually just went to New York. My mom got this whole 'big breakthrough', ya know? She thought it would go so well…"
"Did it not?" Lucas cocked his head to the side slightly.
"Unfortunately, no. It didn't. She designed a few things, the credit got stolen, and she was framed for taking it from the thief. Go figure," Daisy explained with a humorless laugh.
"Oh dang, that sucks." Lucas frowned. "But hey, I'm sure that person got found out and fired. Hopefully."
"So far, they haven't. I would know by now if they had because my mom would have gotten rehired," Daisy sighed.
"Oh. Well I'm real sorry. But I'm sure it'll happen soon. Maybe." Lucas shrugged. "But besides that, what good things happened?"
"Well… I dated a few times, and I'm obviously single now," Daisy laughed. "But they were good guys and we ended in good terms. They just weren't right for me, I guess."
"Well that's good. Ending on bad terms is…scary. Espesily with crazy girls." Lucas shook his head with a laugh.
"Oh? You talk as if you know from experience. What happened while I was gone?" Daisy asked.
Lucas shrugged, "crazy girl friend that scratched up my car and threatened me. Its not that big of a deal."
"Not a big deal? It doesn't sound like it's not a big deal. Please, share," Daisy pressed.
