Mae headed to the large mahogany table that was set atop the granite platform, as it was time for the feast. People from all of the kingdoms sat on large oak tables set in the field below the platform, already feasting. Mae sat at an ornately carved onyx and willow throne, with food already set before her. There was a specific throne for each ruler, already placed at the grand table. A wine glass of Nightshade juice sat to her left, and she sipped from it, feeling pure darkness seep through her veins.

Astrid followed Mae and sat at a silvery throne with tree trunks carved into the silver and vines that wrapped up around the legs and the back of the chair. Waves were carved into the base of the throne, calmly lapping at the tree trunks. Astrid took a sip of her coconut water, feeling relaxed and breathing a little easier now that the official start of the ceremony was over. All she had to do left for today was make it through dinner which was laid out delicately in front of her.

Virgil stepped up to the table, sitting down at a large onyx throne with inscriptions that mean fear in the Nyxian language. He really didn't need to eat, all the fear he had collected was enough to subside his hunger for the moment.

(okay, do urs. Also, can you reply on ur Crystal mages rp? me and some others want to join)

@Trix

Iris sat at her throne made of a clear crystal, still shaky after Virgil's visions had torn through her soul. One look at this place and you knew it was for royalty. She couldn't help her hands from trembling slightly as she placed them in her lap. Avoiding the Nightshade juice, she delicately sipped from her Labrador tea, taking note of all the people who were merrily toasting and drinking. Having no care for the world, being happy… while she was stuck in her icicle of manners, grace, and politics.

Mae new she had to be the picture of strength, power, let no fear show. She had to make conversation. she turned to Iris, "Your demonstration was beautiful. I'm just glad the ice shards didn't fly at us," She smiled humorously.

Cassius walked forward to the table. His throne was made of thick roots and branches that had weaved themselves together. Orange, green, yellow, and red leaves sprouted from it. As he sat down he knew he should have felt some spark of fear from Virgil's demonstration, but summoning the spirit had left him numb. It always did, really. He wondered if that was its way of protecting him. He placed his mask down delicately on the arm of his throne and picked up a glass from the table. Something heavily spiced and definitely alcoholic graced his senses.

@Trix

Giving a small smile in reply, "Well… I didn't exactly have the intent of actually harming people around me." Iris shot a pointed glare at Virgil. "It is a demonstration after all. Your shadows were quite impressive, as well."

"Thank you, Iris. Tell me, did you know Onyllix and Sarine used to be close trading partners? It was long ago, but apparently both economies benefitted quite a lot." Mae smiled, implying her wishes to trade with Sarine. Onyllix did not often make the first move with trading policies, but Mae was feeling rebelious.

(Can I just say that he already did his demonstration by using different crystal that began to levitate around him and manipulating the fire)

Yep!

Astrid turned to Cassius, "The spirit you conjured, is that where you got the inspiration for your mask?" She asked and took another small sip of her coconut water, savoring the taste and its calming effect on her.

"My mask wasn't inspired by the Alium, it was made to honor it," Cassius said, picking up the mask. He traced the marks on the beak. "In times of great peril, it will provide protection to myself and my kingdom. As many of the spirits are, it is loyal to Aryllis."

@Trix

"Hmm…" Iris was vaguely aware of Sarines past relations with kingdoms. However, she was pretty closed off compared to the others, an allie couldn't hurt, could it?

Virgil sipped something from a cup, it was filled with poison. He shook his head and turned to the other rulers. "Someone just tried to poison me, a shame it was a poison I'm immune to." He informed the others, taking another sip from his cup.

Deleted user

"Vantra poison." He says, still sipping it. He really didn't care why they tried to poison him but he knew that as soon as this horrendous meeting was over, he would hunt down whoever did and slowly engulph them in their own fear.

"Let me see," Mae took Virgils glass, and peered at it. "Interesting…." She said, and set it down

Virgil shrugged. "I have a lot of enemies, I'm just surprised this didn't happen earlier." He said nonchalantly. This happens a lot, on the way here it happened five times.

@rot-baby-rot!

"Well, I doubt it was one of us," Cassius noted, mostly to himself. "We wouldn't have had enough time to poison his drink. At least not directly, anyway." He turned to the other. "Who do you think it was, Virgil?"

Deleted user

"It was someone from the audience, a rouge I presume." He said, he really wanted this shit show to be over. He was tired and the fear he had taken earlier was not enough to satisfy his hunger.

@rot-baby-rot!

"With the way you look, it's as if you wanted the poison to kill you." Cassius took another sip and was pleased to find that he could taste the drink properly this time. The spirit's influence must have finally worn off.
