Zoe stepped away from the group, tears slipping down her cheeks. A soft, golden glow radiated from her body due to her panic. It was hardly noticeable, but she could feel it.

"Pluto," Asura said. "Can you control yourself now?"

Pluto looked up, wiping away starry liquid. "Yeah, yeah, I'm good."

(I'm trying to drop so many hints that this is the time that Pluto is supposed realize that Zoe is Asura's daughter lmao)
He nodded, gesturing for her to step forward. "Zoe, this is Pluto, I'm Asura. Now, I'm going to get straight to the point here. Why are you eating my demons?" He asked. "Also, what are you? Your mind was extremely easy to connect to, I've never experienced that before, except with my brother Lucifer, but that's because he's related to me."

(well Pluto is a dense piece of angel give her a moment) Pluto squinted. Huh. The demon king's aura seemed so similar to the demon's

"Pluto?" He said, looking back at her. "Is there anything you have to say to her?"

Pluto turned her head to the side. "Sorry," she gritted out

He rolled his eyes. "No, I mean, do you have any questions? Like why she killed Michael's friends?"

"Actually, fantastic suggestion. If you're supposed to eat demons, why did you eat two of my roommate's friends?"

Zoe looked down at her shoes. "I'm not 'supposed' to eat demons. Or humans. I need to consume life energy, or I'll die," she explained.

"Don't we all," Pluto muttered under her breath

Asura raised his eyesbrows. "What do you mean?" He asked Pluto.

Zoe glowed a bit brighter with nervousness. Faint flames radiated from her hands. What were they going to do to her?

Pluto swallowed around the lump in her throat. "Nothing, I didn't say anything."

He turned fully toward her. "Yes you did, you said 'don't we all'."

"Um…" Pluto started to break out into a cold sweat, trying to find a way to work around her predicament. "I. Um. I kinda have to do the same thing as Zoe. Sort of."

His aura brightened suddenly, lighting up the area around him. "Then why the hell would you want to kill her?" He shouted, taking a step toward her. "What kind of hypocritical dickhead would kill somebody because they need life energy to stay alive, when you do the exact same thing?" He stopped, clenching his fists and looking down. "Dammit, if Milo was still alive, this wouldn't have happened. He could've fixed this."

"Don't you yell at me!" Pluto snapped, pointing her finger in Asura's face. "I don't consume humans, I don't think I even could if I wanted to!"

Mike, who'd been watching silently all this time, now stepped forward. "Hey, easy. We were going to get rid of Zoe because she's a confirmed killer. We didn't know anything else at that point. Pluto, you shoulda mentioned you had the same issue, we could have talked it through as a group. And Asura, you're unreasonably defending a criminal at the moment. Why is that?" He jerked his head at Zoe. "Take a closer look at her. Notice anything?"

"Listen, if I don't eat her soul or some other demon as strong as her soon, I…I don't know what'll happen and I don't wanna find out."

"Okay, good to know. How long do you think you have?"

Pluto looked down at her feet. "Maybe um. Maybe a month? This is only the second time I've had to do this."

"A month? Jeez, that's plenty of time. Once we're through here, ask Asura to summon a demon from my planet, they're plenty powerful and no one cares about them."

"I will do no such thing," Asura said, glaring. "Not without a good reason first."

She ran a hand through her hair. "That's the problem! I would have hopped to another dimension to kill a demon from there, but this dimension's gates have almost all collapsed and I can't find a single working one left!"

Mike took a deep breath. "Okay, look. We can figure this out later. Right now we have to figure out what to do with the demon-eater. I'm surprised she's still here right now."

Right, the demon eater. Gods I can still see her soul, Pluto thought. For some reason she couldn't get her normal vision to come back, and it was bothering her

Zoe jumped a bit, looking at Mike. "Well, it's not like I can really go anywhere. If I tried anything now, there's no way I'd survive. So I'd rather not." She looked down at her hands. The soft aura was much dimmer than usual. Barely visible. She needed to eat.

"Then stay put and don't speak unless spoken to, thanks." Turning back to Asura Mike added. "Seriously, I'm asking you. Don't you see there's something odd about her?"

"Oh my gods, I think you're related! You have the same aura!" Pluto exclaimed with sudden realization

Asura jumped, turning to look at Zoe, who was wide eyed and looking down at her hands. He scanned her. They did have the same aura, but hers was weaker, and her eyes were… green. Like Milo's. He shook his head and turned back to Pluto and Mike. "No. That's impossible, I can't have kids, and I know she's not a sibling or niece."

"Are you sure? Because her soul says otherwise." Pluto squinted at Zoe, then at Asura. Something seemed to be the same in both of them that she couldn't quite place
