Lily barked loudly in response and nudged Lilac away in response, though she used careful tenderness to do so. She went back to licking the shaking-with-laughter Cameron.
Lily barked loudly in response and nudged Lilac away in response, though she used careful tenderness to do so. She went back to licking the shaking-with-laughter Cameron.
"Lilac, come over here and let me cuddle you!" Lilah managed to gasp through her laughter.
The dog's head shot up and she carefully made her way to Lilah. Laying down beside her, Lilac rested her head on Lilah's chest, her whole rear end shaking as she wagged her tail. Lilah kissed the Germain shepherd between the eyes, and Lilac licked her face once.
Lily took Cameron for her own, barking triumphantly as Cameron burst out into laughter. He laid back a little, which Lily shifted up hastily.
Lilah let her laughter die down as she hugged Lilac, burying her face in the dog's fur. She held her tightly, but not so tight that it would hurt her.
Cameron laughed occasionally as Lily licked him, but she soon got tired and rested her face on his.
"Doggy cuddles at probably in my top three favorite things," Lilah sighed, her voice muffled by Lilac's fur.
Cameron looked at her slowly. “Really? What are the other two?” He put a hand on hers.
"Cuddles with you and…" Whatever else she had said was mumbled and incomprehensible as she had buried her face further into Lilac's fur.
Cameron smiled and squeezed her hand. “What’s the other reason, love?”
Lilah could feel her cheeks burning as she mumbled into Lilac's fur, grateful for the reason to hide her face. "Kissing you…"
Cameron squished her hand a little. “That’s my favorite thing to do, too.” He leaned his head close to hers, closing his eyes in contentness.
Lilah turned to look at Cameron with a soft smile. She pecked his nose, knowing he wouldn't have been able to see it coming since his eyes were closed, and giggled before burying her face again.
Cameron jumped a little and opened his eyes. “What was that?”
"A kiss," Lilah giggled, her face still buried in Lilac's fur.
Cameron laughed too. “Certainly not from you!”
"No, it was from the fairy queen," Lilah chuckled, moving to look at him again.
Cameron smiled and met her gaze. “Tell her I said thank you, then.”
Lilah paused for a moment, looking deep in thought. She blinked and smiled at him. "She says you're welcome."
Cameron laughed. “Ask her if I could have another. Perhaps longer this time.”
Lilah giggled. "She says yes, but you have to take it."
Cameron raised his eyebrows. “What does she mean by that?”
"You can have another kiss, but you have to kiss her first," Lilah explained with a slight smirk.
Cameron grinned and tugged Lilah close. “I think I’ll settle for you, then.” He kissed her gently.
Lilah giggled against his lips before kissing him back. Lilac barked and moved away, toward Lily.
Cameron smiled a little and moved closer as Lily stood up to greet Lilac. She touched her nose off of Lilac’s and trotted over to Lilah’s side of the bed and laid down.
Lilah wrapped her arms around his neck happily, smiling a bit.
Lilac laid down and rested her head near Lilah's feet, her eyes falling shut.
Lily curled up close to the older dog, setting her head on Lilac’s shoulders carefully. Cameron smiled happily and gazed at her, relaxing into the kiss.
"I'm glad the fairy queen didn't show," Lilah murmured against his lips.
Cameron hummed and half-closed his eyes. “You’re a much better kisser.”
Lilah giggled and peeked at him. "Well, good. I'm glad. After all, I am your fiancée."
