Micah laughed a little. "I probably wouldn't be on this adventure right now if you weren't…the way you are."

Mari reached out to tug on Micah's hair, "I know."

Micah knelt down on the floor so he was eye level with her face. "See? You're awesome the way you are. Fully human or not."

She smiled and pushed her head closer, touching noses with him.

He chuckled again. "Awesome…" Micah leaned in and brushed his lips against hers gently.

Mariko blushed and kissed back, holding onto his face with her hands.

After a few seconds he leaned back, still grinning. "Awesome…." He whispered.

"Awesome what?"

"You." Micah responded. "You're awesome."

"I think you're pretty great too." Mari sat up.

"Thanks." He stood up and sat on the hospital bed next to her's.

"So. How's the weather?"

Micah laughed. "The weather?"

Mariko fumbled with her hands, "I don't know what to talk about."

He shook his head. "It was kind of nice outside I guess. Sort of windy."

"Okay." Mari swiveled her feet down and stepped onto the floor, trying to walk, but she fell onto a nearby bed.

Micah stood up and helped Mari stand up before placing her back on her bed. "You're not standing up yet."

"Why not?" Mari waved her hand in the air, "I'm perfectly capable."

"You just fell over when you tried to walk." Micah pointed out, sitting down next to her.

"No I didn't." Mariko argued, "It was a small slip-up."

"Mhm sure. No one, not even you, should stand up after getting stabbed."

"I happen to be special." she hugged him, and whispered into his ear, "You of all people know that."

He nodded slightly. "I do know that."

"Good." Mariko released her hug, "I'm hungry."
