"Thats a cool idea"
"Thats a cool idea"
“Then I want to be called either penguin or riddler.” She smiled slyly
"Hold up, I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, so uh, translate, please?" Ryder asked, raising one eyebrow.
“So we were thinking of having codenames righr? I thought we could use names from Batman’s world like Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Harley Quinn etc.” She tried to explain
“As much as I love DC, why don’t we do Marvel? They’re better.” Carys suggested, shrugging a shoulder.
Emi sighed softly and drew away from the conversation. She didn’t like either brand of comic, therefore found herself wishing they’d talk about something else. Or better, the bell would ring.
"Why don't we just do whatever we want? Marvel or DC or anything else"
“Fine, thats a better idea, why’d I even think DC?” She laughed “dibs on being ghost spider.”
(Anyone watch that one marvel show? With like squirrel girl and inferno etc? That’s where ghost spider is from)
Dusk yawned, by now they were completely ignoring the conversation and reading a new book. "We don't want them to know that we all are connected so, we shouldn't have code names that relate to each other."
“I still want to be ghost spider.” Aleena stated. “When does the bell ring?” She asked no one in particular
“Ten fifty-three,” Emi answered automatically. She knew all the times to the bell schedule (I really do. In my school, anyway).
(Same though)
“I still hate that it’s not at a perfect number like 55 or 50.” Aleena grumbled. “Anyways we have 5 minutes so imma go to my locker.” She walked two steps away and opened her locker
Deuce, who was leaning back in his chair (all laid back and chill) has this really tired and lazy look on his face, he then looks at the person who had commented on the whole DC and Marvel thing. "I think that'd be really cool although I'd probably choose something else as my nickname because diversity"
“Actually I hate spiders.” Aleena said, coming back to the group with her notebook and biology textbook “just call me ghost.”
Kieran fiddled with a pencil. “I’m all for the Marvel idea… but the real question is, who’s Iron Man and who’s Captain America?”
“I don’t know and I don’t care but I want Quake from Agents of Shelid.” Carys said, grinning.
“Yes!” Aleena yelled “sorry, I just love marvel.”
"I wanna be Anxiety, ya know from Sanders Sides," Dusk said out of the blue, they had literally just started paying attention.
“Sanders sides are awesome.” Aleena smiled
"I know, that's why I want to be Anxiety."
"Doesn't Anxiety have a name?" Jensen asked, suddenly paying attention once Thomas Sanders was mentioned. "It's Virgil, isn't it?"
"I know, but one of my characters names is Virgil and I don't want to repeat it." Dusk says, not aking any sense as usual.
"Fair enough. If being a Sanders Side is acceptable though, I'm going to be Roman," Jensen said. They glanced up at the clock. Only two minutes left until they had to go back to class. And then they went home… and tomorrow, they crashed prom. They felt excitement bubble up in their chest at the thought. This is gonna be fun…
"You would make a good Roman." Dusk said before going back into their own little world. They just wanted the day to be over so that they could get to drama then go home.
Jensen smiled to themselves, a little confused but flattered at the same time. "Thanks?" They said, laughing. The bell rang then, and they got up and stretched lazily.
"Yay!" Dusk exclaimed, standing up and placing their book into their bag with delicacy as if it was a living being. "Time for writing!" They said happily to themselves, they loved writing class even when most people hated it with a firey passion.
"Eh… I don't know what I want to be called. Maybe I'll just go for Patton or Logan from Sanders Sides…" Gabe was mumbling to themself as they picked up their stuff to leave for math class.
"Logan is the logical one, right?" Jensen said out loud, waiting for Gabe to grab their stuff. "You'd make a great Logan."
"Yes indeed. Thank you. Roman is perfect for you," Gabe smiled at the compliment and offered Jensen their hand once their backpack was settled.
Emi shouldered her heavy bag and skulked out of the library. She had shifted out of the conversation a while ago, and was thinking of other homework and doings she’d be doing through the day.
