"Got it, I'll drop by later and give you some," Aether also turned to the front, where Ms. Gruele was going on and on about…partner duels? She wasn't quite sure, to be honest.

Barry was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry about– about your mom. My mom….. yeah." He cleared his throat. "I guess my tattoos are my memory marks….." By habit, his fingers grazed over the crow tattoo hidden under his shirt.
She patted his shoulder. "It is fine… life is a something that comes and goes, we cannot stop it. But we must enjoy the time we have. We are the lucky ones, Barry…"
Barry nodded, clearing his throat again and pulling up a nonchalant guise. “What class do you have next?” He changed the subject, not wanting to touch on this subject anymore.
"Speech and then Water Magic…" she said with a nervous laugh, wanting to cover the subject as well. She didn't like talking about her mother but, she would if someone asked.
“Im taking Water Magic too, to help focus my storm powers.”, Barry said. “I guess I’ll See you then?”
"Yes, you guess correctly." She slung her bag over her shoulder, stood, and left. She thought of all things she needed to check over with her instructor.
(Barry can have class with someone next, who wants to?)
(Yo, I could have a class with Barry next if ya want)
Fade looked over at Aether when the teacher mentioned dueling partners. Oh great, fabulous, maybe I should have skipped today. He nudges Aether. "Hey, wanna be partners?" he whispers to her, still looking up front.
(yay, I'll just wait until his current class is over)
(alright lol)
"Yeah, that'll be great," Aether whispered back, flinching when the teacher clapped her hands and nearly yelled the word "Go!" This is what she hated about Ms. Guelle. It was all quiet and then bam, suddenly blaring loud.
Fade casually looks at Aether. "Soooo….we start?" He said looking around to see what everyone else was doing.
"Yeah, I guess…" Aether trailed off, racking her brain to remember what exactly the teacher said. "If I remember correctly, we go on one of the mats to warm up, and then she'll call up our names to duel on the big thingy," She pointed at what resembled a boxing ring. "Want to go over there?" She asked, gesturing to an open mat a couple feet away.
Fade nods. "yea sure, so does that mean we'll be going up against other pairs or is it just us two that will be going up against each other?" He asked, a bit confused as they walked over to the mats.
"Um, I'm not too sure. Here, let me ask." Aether turned to the other group opposite of them, and tapped what looked like a fairy. He looked quite annoyed but answered her question anyways. She turned back to Fade and grinned. "Turns out we're going up against other groups. Hope you're good at whatever you do,"
Fade chuckles and smirks at her. "You bet I am, not to brag but I think I'm actually really decent at my naturally god given talent~" He says flashing her a playful grin.
"Really?" Aether raised an eyebrow, sending back a smug grin in return. She opened her arms and stepped back. "Well, then be my guest. I'm wide open,"
Fade smiles and steps back as well, then he runs towards her but it seems unhumanly fast and before you know it he's dealing a blow to her stomach, but makes sure not to make it so strong.
Aether doubled, holding an arm to her stomach. "Nice hit, but you look you could do better than that," she smiled. She ran at him and delivered a swift roundhouse kick to his stomach, making it just light enough.
Fade was easily able to block it, he smiled. "So you noticed, but you don't seem to be giving it your full strength either~" he bounced back before she could try anything again. "In all honesty, I don't really like fighting although I'm pretty good at it if I do say so myself" he laughs shyly and awkwardly.
"Touche," Aether grinned. "I don't like fighting either, but I can't really do much without transforming into my wolf," She shuffled on her feet. Aether felt like she was useless without her wolf.
Fade laughs."No, I bet you could do a lot of damage in your human form, those looks kill man" He jokes around, thinking about how Barry was totally into her.
(loll)
Aether laughed, a light blush appearing on her cheeks. She struck a pose and finger gunned at Fade. "Watch out, I'm single and dangerous," Aether shot the guns and winked.
Fade lets out a nervous and startled laugh as she finger gunned at him. "Oh yeah no I'll make sure to watch out" He winked back.
Aether laughed and was about to reply back when the teacher's voice rang out. "Fade and Aether, versus JJ and Geom." "Guess that's us," Aether said, starting to make her way to the center arena.
Sudden panic swelled up in Fade shit, our turn, he noded when Aether spoke. He also made his way to the arena. Fade tried so hard to not go all out when it came to this because he tended to get a bit violent once you got him going. But that was the exact same reason why he took the class, he desperately needed to learn to control his strength and just himself overall.
Aether glanced at Fade once they arrived at the main arena, and saw him internally panicking. She reached over and tapped his shoulder, hopefully gaining his attention. "Don't worry too much Fade. JJ's just controls fire, and Geom is an ice elf. Their powers contradict each other, so they won't be too much of a problem."
Fade flinched when she tapped his shoulder, he was clearly on edge. He nodded, knowing that she was trying to comfort him. "Yea, no problem, I won't even sweat it~" He put on a brave act.
