Instinctively, he released a snarl, eyes glowing dangerously. The heat seemed to flow off his body in waves as the other vamp suddenly stepped forward, shoving himself between him and the prey. Sosdovah curled his lips back, releasing a growl that seemed to cause the entire area to shake. His pupils were thin slits, nearly lost in the vast swirling of red and yellow of his eyes. More draconic features started to appear, his agitation clear and growing. Behind him a long tail seemed to lash back and forth.
"And just what do you think you are doing," Sosdovah curled his lips back, showing his fangs, "I had my eyes on these sheep first. I suggest getting the hell out of my way, or I'll be adding you to my meal plans."
Sosdovah's complete appearance had seemingly changed. The male had seemed to grow larger, taller. His horns grown considerably, eyes continuing to glow with malice. The skin along his arms had seemed to even change, appearing scalier, hands ending in wickedly curved claws. The tail that had sprung from his spine continued to lash back and forth.
"Besides, would actually benefit the rest of us, weed out the weak so the strong may survive. A cripple like you has no chance in our world. Surprised they haven't put you out of your misery. Just goes to show how soft the normal vampires have become."

Kailani narrowed her as she watched the vampire grow. "Dear Croa'Tao…" she muttered as she took steps back. This would be a LOT harder than she thought. Her eyes flickered towards Ianthe, she took a few more steps back. There is another entrance on the other side… We cannot fight him in this building…

Yve sighs. “In my land I am a necessary person. Master of Trade. I don’t fight, I take orders.” He says, smiling. At that point his mechanical leg finally powers up again and he bends it with creaking and whirring. He stops leaning on his cane as such. “And please, make my legs don’t work but my powers are strong still.”

He moves forward, standing in Sos’s Personal space. He doesn’t seem scared, nor is he fearing death at all.
“So, back off, baby snake, I might be old but these two are going to be my kill.”

Due to his mechanical leg being irritatingly long, he still compares evenly to Sos’s Height.

Sosdovah's growl continued to grow even louder. His tail lashed back and forth. His fangs glistened, eyes swirling to bright red. The shadows seemed to converge towards the dracopyre's body. Though, the dracopyre's snarling face suddenly turned into a smirk.
"Oh I will look forward to this cripple. A pile of ashes will all be that's left of you when I'm finished."
His eyes glanced over, taking note as the two girls were scrambling backwards. Sos hissed softly, eyes continuing to glow. No matter, even if they did manage to get out, he had their scent imprinted in his mind. It wouldn't take too much to follow the trail once he finished with the cripple.
The dracopyre turned his attention back to male vamp before him. The fang-filled grin flashed, a few sparks flying from his slightly agape jaws. The shadows writhed around behind him, several tendrils suddenly forming. Sosdovah said not another word, instead instantly going on the attack. He suddenly pivoted, swinging his tail full force, aiming to knock the other right off his feet. Sosdovah knew once he had the other grounded, he would have full advantage.
That is less the other either was strong enough to block the attack or dodge it…

Ianthe tugs on Kailani's sleeve and gestures towards the back exit.

Yve doesn’t move but plants his metal leg into the ground, digging his heel in. Due to its structure and that is it built from heavy metal, it only make shim stumble back and creak. There is a dint but he does not fall, instead there is a loud and deafening drumming sound as the tail hits his leg, hard.

“You can’t hit my legs.” He whispers. He raises his cane and tries to impale the dragonpyre in the tail with its pointed end. He looks at Ianthe and gives her a ‘Hurry up’, look.

Fiona continued to walk back into the woods, she swung herself up into another tree and climbed to the top, wanting to get some rest before she had to kill a vampire.

Kailani ran with Ianthe. Looking back, she lifted a prayer for the vampire. Let his death be swift… she prayed. Hey, she wasn't going to want the vampire to live. He wanted to make a meal out of her blood as well. Or maybe that was just a ruse… He certain appreciated Ianthe and her kindness.

@Dragoncita group

The dracopyre felt his tail hit, only there was no give. He turned his head, eyes glowing brightly. Sosdovah honestly expected the other's leg to give out, but that turned out to not be the case, which in turned annoyed him. His gaze quickly shifted to the raised cane, which was being swung downwards towards his tail.
He swiftly retracted his tail backwards, but was just a tad slow as the end of that cane nicked him. Sos brought his tail around in front of him, taking a quick mental note. Thank the gods for scales, as well as speed. For all he knew, if that weapon had hit, his tail would be pinned to the ground, and only option to get out would be to tear his tail, which was something he was glad to avoid.
The shadows once again converged upon Sosdovah, the tendrils of before appearing and waving behind him. As the darkness seemed to grow, his form seemed to vanish. Glowing red eyes, however, showed his supposed position.
Now, there were plenty of snide remarks he could've made, however, Sosdovah's mind was now in battle. The dragon part of his mind slowly crawling across and taking over his mind and actions. Without any warning, the shadowy tendrils suddenly sprung forward, racing forward, lashing outwards in a furious onslaught.

Ianthe runs out of the store and doesn't stop until she and Kailani are a few buildings away. When she does stop, she takes out her notebook and writes: I guess we'll have to find food somewhere else, then. Too bad it can't be stored in Halfway.

Then, as if realising what she's written, she crosses out the last sentence and writes: Nevermind.

Yve jumps and just holds out the cane in front of him, pointy end out. He backs away a bit, trying to side step away as best as he can, to avoid the angry dragonpyre. The girls were gone and he had no reason to stick around and get killed. He ducks under the Dragonpyres thrashing body quickly and taps the cane on the ground in quick succession five times and then once more.

He disappears.

Aisha suddenly lifted her head, hearing sounds of a scuffle near the town. She smiled, baring her teeth. Sounds like a vampire fighting with a hapless human in need of rescue. She leapt into the air, tall body shrinking, turning darker, and transforming into a crow. She flew towards the fight, perching at a safe distance from it.
The boy with the cane tapped it on the ground five times, and disappeared. Aisha's eyes widened. What could a vampire possibly gain from fighting another one of our kind? He went up against a dragonpyre, for fuck's sake. Unless… is he using the same tactic as I am? Then I would either have to kill him or ally with him…

Kailani read the page Ianthe tore and handed to her. "What is Halfway?" She asked as they slowed. She need two things, water and something to eat. If she didn't find any soon, she'd be no good if they did have to fight. "I'm willing to try just about anything, Ianthe."

@gracehustle

Fiona quickly woke up from her nap, hearing the sounds of a fight going on. She sighed and leapt down from the tree, wanting to get as far away from the fight as she could, she started walking away from the town and deeper into the woods, where she could easily find food and shelter.

The tendrils he had created lashed forward, narrowly missing the other. The shadows swiftly came back towards their owner, the darkness overwhelming the entire place. Sosdovah turned, his eyes landing on the other vamp. His keen hearing heard the 'tap,tap,tap', then the other was gone. Enraged, the dracopyre's shadows suddenly sprung to life again.
The shadowy tendrils swiftly raced all throughout the house, destroying everything in sight. As the shadows did their thing, Sosdovah was constantly glancing around. His eyes glowed brightly in the darkness, pupils thin slits that were nearly lost in the vast red of his eyes. His forked tongue flicked out, testing the air.
The male's voice had seemingly changed, growing even deeper as he growled, "You may be gone, but your scent betrays you. Better get a move on cripple, cause once I'm finished with the lost sheep, the wolf is coming after you."
Sos strode forward, the shadows seeming to retreat back. Instead, the shadows started to be replaced by creeping flames. Well, having a dragon parent who's main element was fire, it did have its benefits. The male's form radiated with extreme heat as the fire started to consume the building which he stood. His red eyes swirled to their draconic yellow as his more dragon side took control. His tail trailed behind him, a pair of wings suddenly exploding from his shoulders.
"Oh little sheep, you are prolonging the inevitable," Sos growled under his breath, "The shepherd may have come to save you once, but I will not allow it to happen again."
The dracopyre continued to slowly walk through the burning building. His steps were slow, deliberate. The male's eyes continued to glow brightly, the flames growing around him.

Yve, although immune to heat, was not pleased at all. His suit, ruined. His leg, not working. His hair, a mess. Invisible, he was at much less danger but if anything, he didn’t want a nice honest human, the one who offered to help him, despite his vampiric state, to die. She would be good to trade.

Yes, he was never a good person, he was still a vampire, just he had no desire to kill. He was a tradesman.

He uses his own powers to cool down the room, to combat the firey heat and possibly freeze the dragonpyre. He tries to say out of the way of the shadows too, curving his body to avoid them. It was hard with his leg deciding to be limp. He lifts his cane, leaning on the wall, attempting a jab at the dragonpyre with the spiked end.

He wishes he’d brought his poisons.

((A note: Halfway is kind of like a storage unit. Using a specific rune, a doorway can be opened to a storage space that you've rented. Food, living things and dangerous items of high magical power are not allowed to be stored. ))

((Oh, cool))

Kailani shrugged, trying not to let her disappointment show. She sighed. "Going back into town is a dead idea. If we travel farther, we could possibly beat him to morning, then he'll have to keep back. We can't just sit here." She grumbled, spotted a nice stone. She picked it up and began to sharpen her daggers.

@PeaceWillWin-FearWillLose

Ianthe nods and writes. If we need weapons, Halfway can help for that. She glances around, and writes again, covering it with her hand: I probably even have silver daggers. But if they catch us breaking the rules, there could be bad consequences. It's a bit risky.

Deleted user

Kailani nodded as she read. "Best to keep that hidden well. Only if it is of dire need should we use it." She agreed. It was a risk to use silver weapons, but if push came to shove, Kailani wouldn't hesitate.
