Pluto nodded. She chucked her duffel bag at Red. "There's weapons in there that should work," she whispered
(gtg for a bit sorry)
(Okay)
"How will a "link" help us, Asura?" Mike asked. "You plan to track her movements?"
(gtg too sorry. it's dinner time!)
Red stayed near the hood of the truck, occasionally turning around and walking randomly in case this Zoe person decided to target her. Or the truck.
He turned to glare at Mike. "Why do you question everything I say?" he snapped. "Fuck it, I'm not listening to you." He stepped forward and searched for an open mental connection. Surprisingly, it was easy to find.
Shit, Zoe thought, feeling Asura invade her thoughts, as if he had just stepped through a wide open door. Oh my god, don't think right now Zoe, don't think. Don't picture where you are, don't think about your location. That's the very last thing you want to do…
(loool Mike gets to him every time XD)
Mike shrugged and drew his knife, slowly advancing on the building in a circular manner.
(I love your character, however Asura absolutely does not. He's kind of like a really petty emotional child tbh)
He searched her thoughts, waiting for Zoe to subconsciously visualize her surroundings. When she did, Asura was confused. All he saw was a large lava rock and soft dirt. He turned to the others. "Look for a really big rock. With lots of holes in it. That's where she is," he said, looking around. His mind wandered, and be began to wonder why her mind was so easy to connect to. Usually, connections are difficult to form, but this one happened naturally.
"A rock, huh?" Mike scanned the moonlit landscape. "There's some kind of ornamental yard piece over there. Look about right?"
He shook his head. "No, like a really big lava rock. Big enough to hide three of us behind."
"Hm." Mike kept going, making sure to stay level with Pluto and glancing back at Red once in a while to see that she was safe. "If it's close enough that you could hear her breathing….it must be right around here."
"Yeah… maybe at the side of the warehouse?"
"Maybe….but I don't like us all spread out like this. We could be headed into a trap, and our backs are currently unguarded."
(sorry for vanishing, that took longer than I thought) Pluto looked around. Her sight flickered, and without realizing it she could suddenly see souls. No no no, bad sign, really bad sign. She kept looking around, and saw the faint outline of something behind a rock sitting behind the warehouse doors. Her mouth watered. "In the warehouse. The rock's in the warehouse, she's behind it while looking through the door," she whispered
Asura's eyebrows raised. "That actually makes a lot of sense," he said, twirling his staff and already walking toward the door.
Shit shit shit shit SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT NO She thought, then decided to open the door herself. "Please don't kill me!" she cried, putting her hands up. "I'll give you whatever you want, just don't kill me!"
Mike narrowed his eyes. "I don't like it," he said sharply. "Too easy."
Pluto's eyes widened, Zoe's panic causing her soul to flare up in the angel's vision. Her mind went blank and she lunged at the girl without warning
Zoe screamed, jumping to the side and crying. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest.
Asura could feel her panic and grabbed the back of Pluto's shirt, tugging her back. "Don't be so reckless!" he shouted at her.
"Let me GO!" Pluto snarled. More of the starry liquid had started to seep from her eyes, and the gold rings of them glowed bright. Her teeth had sharpened to points, and she could almost taste Asura's aura
Mike stepped forward and grabbed Pluto's arm, tightly enough to hurt. "What the heck has gotten into you? Explain!"
His grip tightened, and he looked at the others. "Something's wrong with her," he said. "We have to hold her back before something goes wrong."
"Just knock her out or something," Mike said tersely. "We don't have time for this."
Pluto growled. "Don't even think about it, or I'll eat you as a snack!" The words coming out of her mouth seemed to startle her out of her rage. She stopped struggling and put a hand over her mouth. "Oh. Oh gods, I'm sorry."
"A snack, huh?" Mike let go, but his eyes stayed cold. "Go take a breather until you've got control of yourself. We have a job to do."
(that sounds so mean, sorry ^^; )
(naw it's cool, angel mom needs to chill lol) Pluto slipped out of Asura's grasp and went to lean on the truck. Gods, that was horrible. It's never gotten that bad before. I don't think I can even eat human souls
(gotta go to bed sadly, see you guys tomorrow)
Asura watched Pluto, not sure what to do. He didn't know if he could really trust her anymore. "Look," he said, glancing over at Mike. "Before we do anything else, let's talk to this girl. She's scared, and I want to understand why she's been eating my demons."
(aww, see ya)
(see ya)
Pluto felt her shoulders slump as she stared at her reflection in the machete. How had she let herself get like this?
