“So..when I said we met a couple days ago..it was kind of a lie. We’ve been in each other’s heads since before I can remember. And only realized it was someone else’s voice a short time ago..”
“So..when I said we met a couple days ago..it was kind of a lie. We’ve been in each other’s heads since before I can remember. And only realized it was someone else’s voice a short time ago..”
Macha nodded. “What he said.” Hans just stared at them. The silence stretched on, until Macha broke it again. “Dad?” Hans shook his head. “That’s— give me some time. It’s a bit difficult to process.”
Should we tell him about the other things? Tyler looked at her.
Which ones? There are a lot. Hans looked back and forth between them, sensing their communication.
Well..I don’t know..it’s kind of up to you. He is your dad.
You choose. I’m fine with everything. she squeezed his hand.
He should know what I am. I don’t want him to find out the wrong way.
Up to you, but take it slowly. She looked up at him reassuringly.
Okay, okay.. He took a breath. “Uh ok..there’s something you need to know about me, I guess. Just so it doesn’t catch you off guard or anything. So my mother, was um a Demon of some sorts.” He swallowed. “Which means when she had me..I inherited some of her..condition, of you want to call it that. I’m sorry if that doesn’t make any sense..but yeah..” He looked down, squeezing Machas hand tightly.
Hans leaned back in his chair. And stayed silent. A minute and a half later, he still hadn’t spoken . “Dad..?” Hans put his head in his hands. And started laughing. “…dad??”
“Of course— of course you are— half-demon— oh my god this is like Emilie—“
“Who’s Emilie?” Tyler asked, looking from Macha to her father.
Macha shook her head at him. I’ll explain later… my dad… he’s sort of going insane. Act like this is normal.
Okay.. He smiled a little and nodded a little. I don’t know what to do..
Luckily, Hans finished laughing and sobered up. “It was inevitable that whenever Macha met someone they weren’t going to be…. your average person. But try anything against her and you’ll regret it.” He pushed himself out of the chair and left the room.
Macha immediately relaxed against Tyler. “I’m really sorry you had to experience that.”, she sighed. “He hasn’t.. he hasn’t been the same since Emilie died— she was his daughter, his real daughter. We don’t have the money to get him treatment for.. his insanity, I don’t know what it is or what to do—“ her face went slack. “Oh no. Oh god—“
“It’s okay really it- What’s wrong?” He asked, noticing her panic.
Macha pulled away from him and put her head in her hands. “I’ve had surgery twice in the past twenty four hours. We don’t— we don’t have the money to pay for that- we barely had the money to pay our bills this month— oh my god.”
“It’s fine we, I have money. I can pay for your hospital bills. Don’t fight me about it. I only have me to pay for anymore. It’s okay.” He said, holding her in his arms.
“Thank you.”, she whispered, giving him a light squeeze. It felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off her chest, she was guilty enough as it was without medical bills to pay for. “What are we going to do about the doctor? The one who was working for.. for your dad?”
“He’s gone if he knows what’s best for him. He doesn’t have a job anymore since my fathers dead.”
Macha shuddered against him. “You’re a lifesaver. Literally. In multiple ways. Thank you.” Suddenly, she was completely and utterly exhausted. And she was cold, so cold. She shivered slightly.
“You need rest. Do you want me to leave?” He asked.
“Don’t pretend I’m the only one who needs rest, you need it too. And I don’t mind either way, as long as you sleep.”
(Should we skip soon?)
“Only because you asked.” Tyler laid down next to her. “I love you..” He murmured.
(Yeah to when??)
I love you too. She curled up against him, and before long, she was asleep.
(Uhm, a week or so later when Macha’s let out of the hospital? Before that? Idk?)
(Yeah it can be when she’s let out)
(Do you want to start or do you want me to?)
(Could you? I’m sort of brain dead rn sorry, and I’m re reading an old rp from the days before I left the site for five months and a bunch of great online people were still on the site Oof, my heart is in p i e c e s over this one character)
(I love reading old rps except my writing usually sucks and it’s fine we’re all brain dead sometimes)
Tyler stirred slightly and woke up, the sun shining in his face. (I’m just going to have him sleeping in the hospital with Macha If that’s okay) He sighed softly and turned towards Macha, wrapping his arms around her middle.
(Oof thanks)
(Yeah I was re-reading I’m of my favourite dead rps a few days ago, coincidentally one that I used a character that becomes Macha’s best friend in my story, and my writing was so crappy and everyone else’s was amazing and Oof)
(Also I had an idea, what if they could sometimes see each other’s dreams? Not this particular dream, but just sometimes)
Blood. Macha’s dreams were made of blood, dripping from the walls, her hands, from Tyler’s mouth.
Death. Her dreams were made of death, of Tyler’s mangled corpse lying on the cold hard ground, of her father’s body lying broken in the middle of the road.
Insanity. Her dreams were made of insanity, of the screams ricocheting around in her mother’s head, pushing her over the edge until she plunged a knife into her chest.
Macha awoke with a start, heart pounding, eyes wild with fear. It took her a moment to realize that she’d been dreaming and calm down enough to form a coherent sentence. “Tyler?”
(That’s be cool and also that was amazing)
“What’s wrong?” He asked, wide awake now that he could feel her fear.
(Great, and also thanks so much!!)
Macha’s breaths were uneven, her heart was struggling to maintain a steady beat. “Nothing.”, she managed, trying to fend off the dark corner of her brain that was threatening to take over.
