Cameron raised his head a bit. He knew Liam to be bold and confident, but surely he’d take advice from his future wife.

Liam sighed and looked over at Jess. "All right… Let's swim more, then?"
"'Course, love," Jess agreed, kissing him on the cheek.
Lilah sighed and smiled into Cameron's shirt. "I can't believe she convinced him," she whispered.
Cameron chuckled softly. “I can’t either. I was expecting him to continue bothering us.” He gave another laugh.
"But he listened and now they're gone," Lilah chuckled. "And we can go back to sleep."
Cameron held her tighter and relaxed into her again. “Point considered and taken…”
"Mmhm," Lilah hummed, nuzzling his neck before going back to trying to sleep.
Cameron slowly warmed up and grew drowsy again, shutting his eyes with a deep, content sigh.
"I'm gonna burn so bad," Lilah sighed, snuggling closer to him.
Cameron opened his eyes a little. “We can move into some shade if you want…”
"But the sun is warm…" Lilah murmured, starting to fall asleep.
Cameron hummed a faint agreement and rubbed her back a little before drifting off slowly again. She was so warm…
(Skip?)
(Sure; to when they wake up?)
Lilah hummed contentedly in her sleep, entirely happy to be with him. She'd spend her forever with him if he asked.
(Yep)
Cameron had dipped off into sleep so suddenly, he was still basically dead asleep a few hours later. He loved naps, they were so convienent to his early to bed-early to rise sleep schedule.
Lilah sat up with a gasp and winced. "Ouch! Oh my word, ouch!"
Cameron gave a grunt and blinked out of his sleep, blinking awake. He started when she yelped and sat up too, rubbing his eyes.
“What? What’s wrong?”
"I'm so fricking burnt!" Lilah exclaimed, grimacing at her bright red skin.
“Oh no!” Cameron gave her back a frightened look. “We’ll have to get aloe on that really fast.”
"How long were we asleep? Holy crap, we need to go home… I'm never going to be able to sleep normally again," Lilah groaned, moving to stand.
Cameron rose with her, her hands in his. “Alright, let’s just get you home. First step to worry about.”
"I'm such an idiot," Lilah muttered, squeezing her eyes shut. "Ugh, and I forgot about Liam and Jess…"
(Sorry! I was having a wonderful talk with my parents about my D+ in Bio!)
Cameron looked around. “I… don’t know where they are, but let's just focus on walking.” He grabbed up their towels, carefully wrapped one around Lilah and started steering her back to the apartments.
(Oh, ouch! Failing stuff is fun, huh? I very nearly failed history in seventh grade…)
"Ouch," Lilah muttered as the towel touched her burnt skin. "We can't just leave them here… I'm sure they're close by."
(It’s not failing in my county but it’s reaaaal close)
Cameron wrapped an arm carefully around her and led her up the hill. “I’ll come back for them once we get your aloe on.”
(It wasn't really failing for me either, but it felt like it.)
"Are you sure? Because I can stay and look with you," Lilah assured him, wincing at every touch to her burn.
(I am v ashamed of the grade. It was a 66. At least my parents didn’t scream at me about it, though. It would’ve just made me feel worse.)
Cameron nodded. “I’m sure. Cuz you’ll need that stuff to set, and you’ll have to have your back bared basically that whole time. You’d probably want some alone time.”
(Yikes…)
Lilah groaned as she thought about it. "I am such an idiot…"
(Yeah.)
Cameron opened the apartment complex’s doors and helped her in. “You're not an idiot, dear. You’re very intelligent.”
"If I was intelligent, I wouldn't have fallen asleep," Lilah muttered.
Cameron chuckled. “If that’s how you wanna think, then we’re both idiots. I can accept that I’m one.”
"Yeah, but you don't have stupid Irish blood in you that causes you to burn like crazy," Lilah murmured.
