Lake suddenly looked at Slyvastor when they had finally hauled Kris into the backseat. “Wait, you can drive?” Then she smacked herself, “You know what? Never mind. Doesn’t really matter right now.” She hopped in next to Kris.

Slyvastor sat down in the front seat, breathing rather heavily. “Yes, I can drive.” He stuck his key into the ignition and started the car, barely buckling himself in before driving off.

As Sylvastor roared down the road, Lake pulled Kris up into a sitting position. Buckling him in before doing herself. Once she made sure he secure and comfy, she kept a hand on Kris' chest to keep him from toppling over at stoplights. Then she mulled over things in her mind. She looked up at Sylvastor in his rearview mirror. "Sylvastor..? Do you think I did ok..?" Tears started to fill her eyes and she tried to blink them away.

Slyvastor gazed at her slightly as he paused at a light. “You did wonderfully. Just keep it together.” He knew if she started to cry, he’d cry too. He tried to keep a cool head.

“Maybe five minutes, depending on the lights.” He shot off as fast as legally allowed to the hospital.

Lake watched as they pulled up to the door of the ER. A couple male nurses came hurrying out. Lake hopped out and opened the door for them so they could retrieve Kris. She turned to Sylvastor and told him, "Park the car then meet us inside." Then she rushed to catch up with Kris and the nurses. When they got inside another nurse, female this time, asked her to explain what had happened. She told her. One of the men inspected the dressings on Kris' head. He asked what it was. She responded, "A poultice." She started listing off the herbs, with the woman taking notes. When they finished questioning her, they took Kris away and told Lake to go wait in the nearest waiting room. She went into an empty room with various couches and racks of books and magazines. She curled up on a couch, shaking.

(Have Sylvastor park the car then come hurrying in. Have him "voice" some thoughts as he goes to find Lake. Lake's about to break down here. Her sanity's not holding out well.)

(My parents are also Medical-feieldd people and I’ve been in the hospital many times IRL

it’s v draining for me

Anyway i’m complaining but ehe)

(ooooooohhhhh…. Ok. I've only been in the hospital four times. Two were when my siblings were born, once was because I was visiting my grandma, and once for three days because I caught a scarily bad case of pneumonia)

(I was in the hospital for when my sister was born, for when my dad hurt his back, when my hand got infected, and numerous times I got sick or went to work with my mom.)
