Pax let the knife drop and started laughing. "The look on your face!" She said, laughing and putting the knife in her back pocket. "The knife is fake. Sorry for scaring you, I'm kinda messed up. I can fix your care for you for your suffering."
Zyra stared at the woman in shock for a few seconds then crossed her arms and glared at her. "I hate you…." She mumbled, turning her attention back towards her car. "Do you even know anything about cars?" She asked, glancing at her before going back to the car and opening the front trunk again.
"Well, it's pretty standard if you're a mechanic in your free time." She answered, moving a bit closer to the hood of the car and inspecting the damage. There was white smoke that smelled like pancakes so she knew it wasn't a gas or electrical problem.
"Fine, can you help me fix my car?" Zyra asked, glancing at her. "Sooooo, why do you like to scare people for no reason?" She asked.
"Well, I'll explain when I get my tools." She said, walking back to retrieve them. When she came back, she placed the items on the ground before leaning back to explain. "Childhood problems." She said simply.
"What do you mean?" Zyra asked, tilting her head slightly to the right in confusion. She wasn't sure what the other girl meant.
"Growing up was… tough. Family issues is a better term. They… criticized everything I did and blamed it on me even though it was other people's fault. I had depression for a long while, I guess scaring people is the only joy I can find."
"Same here. So, point one for both of us for having families that criticize us on everything we do." Zyra replied, not wanting the atmosphere to be dark and gloomy. I probably look like an idiot now, yayy
"So," She said, changing the subject, not liking to be seen vulnerable. "Can you hand me the screwdriver and the bucket-like container. You have a issue with the coolant and radiator."
"Sure." Zyra answered, glad that she changed the subject. She walked over to her tools and took out the screwdriver and bucket-like container thing she was talking about, handing them to her. "What's your name?" She asked. I sound like a creep now. yayy
"Pax." She said, taking the screwdriver and opening the radiator. She then took the container and drained out the coolant. "What about yours?" She asked while pouring out the used liquid and filling it up with a new one.
(I have no idea how to be a mechanic)
(Lol)
"Zyra," She answered, a small smile on her face. "By the way, you have a pretty name," She commented, glad her car was getting fixed.
"Thanks, I wish I could say the same about yours but I had a friend with that name." Pax screwed the top back on and started the engine again, hearing it still sputter. She took her jump start and plugged it into her battery, turning the dials up again.
Zyra chuckled at that and smiled slightly. "Do you need any other tools?" She asked, not sure what to do to fix her car.
"Nope, I think I'm done." She said, closing the hood. She finally removed her mask, feeling trapped in the hot air. She ran her hand through her hair looking up to Zyra. "Again, sorry, for, well, you know…"
"Oh okay then, thanks!" Zyra said, smiling brightly at her. She glanced at her when she removed her mask and felt her face heat up. WHY IS SO FUCKING PRETTY? HELP? PLEASE? I NEED HELP. I'M GONNA DIE She thought. "It's okay, you've apologized enough times."
Pax saw her turn red in some places and immediately blushed too. She didn't know if it was shock or attraction and went for shock, not wanting to get her hopes up.
(btw, are you oki with cursing? srry I didn't ask. Also, Zyra's face never gets red, only her palms do, they're always red)
HALPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. JESUS, GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE AND HELP ME, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Zyra looked at her with a slightly confused look. "Why is your face red?" She asked.
(Of course I'm okay with it as long as it's not 'What the fuck SHE FUCKING TOOK my shit, Im gonna fuck up everything she loves' I also edited it)
"No reason." She said turning around, knowing that the color would only get darker if she continued looking at Zyra.
(oki den)
"No reason." She said turning around, knowing that the color would only get darker if she continued looking at Zyra.
"By the way, you're a terrible liar." Zyra said, a small smile on her face. She glanced at Pax then quickly looked away, knowing her face would heat up even more
"N-no I'm not." She said, still embarrassed that she caught her blush. "Well, your car is fixed now, great, right!" Trying to change the subject once more.
"Yes you are." She replied, a small smile on her face. "And yes, thank you for fixing my car," She added in.
When Pax finally made sure she wasn't blushing, she had the courage to look back up at Zyra. "I'll go now and leave you alone."
"Oh-um-okay then." Zyra said, a bit sad that Pax was leaving. Wait, what am I sad that she's leaving? This is confusing, halp
Pax looked back to Zyra as she continued walking away, back to her small house.
(maybe we could have them meet a few weeks later at a store or cafe or something)
(sure)
Zyra got into her car and started it, driving away after a few moments. She was still a bit sad as she drives away, trying to deal with her feelings.
(Time skip! Three weeks later…)
Pax decided to go back into the city on Monday so she could open up her mechanic shop again. She needed some more supplies and Wal-mart always had what she needed so she drove her motorcycle there. She parked, took a cart, and decided to browse the store for a bit.
