In conclusion, having a sense of individuality helps more then not in the long run. It can provide different and better aspects of situations, like in Fahrenheit 451. It can also help out others even if they need help or are being forced to follow others, like in Lord of the Flies. In both books, the main characters realize that they need to keep believing in their own opinions and not give in to others thinking, not matter how many people believe them.

7q11.23 duplication syndrome is a condition that can cause a variety of neurological and behavioural problems as well as other abnormalities. People with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome typically have delayed development of speech and motor skills such as crawling and walking. Speech problems and abnormalities in the way affected individuals walk and stand may persist throughout life. People with this condition may also have weak muscle tone (hypotonia) and abnormal movements, such as involuntary movements of one side of the body that mirror intentional movements of the other side. About one-fifth of people with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome experience seizures. Intellectual development varies widely in 7q11.23 duplication syndrome. The majority of people with this condition have low-average to average intelligence. Intellectual disability or borderline intellectual ability occurs in about one-third of affected individuals. Rarely, people with this disorder have above-average intelligence. Behavioural problems associated with this condition include anxiety disorders (such as social phobias and selective mutism, which is an inability to speak in certain circumstances), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), physical aggression, excessively defiant behaviour (oppositional disorder), and autistic behaviours that affect communication and social interaction. Approximately half of the individuals with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome have enlargement (dilatation) of the blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body (the aorta); this enlargement can get worse over time. Aortic dilatation can lead to life-threatening complications if the wall of the aorta separates into layers (aortic dissection) or breaks open (ruptures). People with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome can have characteristic features of the head and face, including a large head (macrocephaly) that is flattened in the back (brachycephaly), a broad forehead, straight eyebrows, and deep-set eyes with long eyelashes. The nose may be broad at the tip with the area separating the nostrils attaching lower than usual on the face (low insertion of the columella), resulting in a shortened area between the nose and the upper lip (philtrum). A high arch in the roof of the mouth (high-arched palate) and ear abnormalities may also occur. These features may be mild and not recognized in some affected individuals.

They call their religion Salex, one of the many names for the worship of the gods of the Void and the Moons. The most important gods in Salex are Diu the Goddess of Life, Iseo the Prince of Time, Solum the God of Darkness, and Mortessorem the God of Death. There is only one main holy text in Dumoros that has only one copy in the Temple of Auras, Dumoros’s largest temple. It is called the Lexipiri, the law of above. Many people make a pilgrimage to Auras every so often from across the country to hear the teachings of the Lexipiri. Aside from that, there are many temples scattered across Dumoros for natives to worship at. There were prophets from many a millennia ago that are now just shadows in the Lexipiri but everyone knows about the prophet fox, Moukib, who wishes for the end of the world and manipulates the minds of mortals to achieve it. The people of Dumoros often make blood sacrifices using animals to appease the gods’ anger and to ward off the Prophet and other demons. There are no set dates for most things in Salex but worshippers usually pray to the spirits at dawn and dusk and to the spirits of all other things like at the beginning of new seasons. Most homes have a shrine dedicated to certain gods and spirits where prayers are said and temples are the main place of worship.

They were the only ones out in the bay that early morning, but there may as well have been a few hundred what with the noise Samuel was making. Edward Samuel Bell, Samuel’s father, could not get the poor kid to stop panicking. His sobs echoed off the distant horizon and returned to his ears as a splitting headache.
“Hey, Sammy, let’s just get this over with. Okay, bud?”
“Dad… You just had me kill someone. What the hell were you thinking?”
“Hey. Watch your language.” A long sigh escaped his body and he pulled his son back to his feet, heaving with all his might. Who knew his own child would be taller, stronger, and more successful at dating than he’d ever been at only 14? Pride swept through his body like a tidal wave, and he took a small moment to bask in the glory of successful fatherhood. He may not have gotten it right sometimes, but his son was already something special, and with a few more years he would be a name not forgotten in the history of the Bell Clan.
After a short, stern 5-minute pep talk, the two of them together lifted the cold, stiff body carefully over the safety railing and dropped it with a final plop. A light spray splashed up into their faces momentarily and then all was silent and still, save Samuel’s sniffles and the raucous call of the gulls that had begun to gather around the father and son.
“Dad, I’m never doing this again.”
Edward ruffled his son’s shaggy hair and stared knowingly into his deep green eyes, his own blue ones brimming with emotion. “That’s fine, Sam. I’m sorry."
