“I full out shrieked in the middle of a calculus test one of those times you monster!” She reached over the table and shoved his shoulder lightly, jokingly. “Everyone thought I was possessed!” It was pretty hilarious now that she thought about it.
"Ah those were the days.." He laughed, gazing at her from across the table.
Macha laughed lightly, running a hand through her hair and propping her elbows up on the table. This was the happiest she'd felt in months. And the longest she'd held eye contact without anxiously turning away and hyperventilating. She grinned at Tyler from across the table.
"Hey. You aren't nervous anymore." He said quietly, smiling.
Macha paused. "Yeah. I guess not." After the initial anxiety, it had been easy to connect with him. In the beginning, she had called him a stranger, but in reality, he wasn't. She knew him. He knew her. And that was extremely comforting, nothing like what had happened to her mother.
"That's good." He said, thinking about how pretty and wonderful she is, not caring if she heard.
Macha's heart skipped a beat as his thought went straight to her head. Swallowing, she tried to resume the conversation, thankful that she couldn't blush. Usually, she could mask her emotions, but now… Even with Lenn she'd retained a degree of stoniness at first. Not so with Tyler.
"You finished eating?" He asked, gesturing to her almost empty plate and reaching in his pocket for money.
"Yeah. And I can pay, it's no problem." What she didn't tell him was that she was going to burn a significant part of her savings doing so.
"No. I'm paying." He said, pulling out the money and setting it on the magic check that had appeared suddenly.

Macha made to protest, but realized he wouldn't listen and leaned back, remembering the electricity bill that was coming soon, she and her dad would have to compile money to pay it. "Thanks."

Macha didn’t want to get up or leave, she was enjoying herself too much, but she pushed herself out of the chair anyways.
Tyler stood as well and held the door open for her as they walked out. "That was nice wasn't it?"
“Definitely. We should, um, do it again soon.” Macha wasn’t sure why she felt so flustered.
"Course." He said, taking her hand and kissing is sweetly. Very chivalrous he was being.
Macha stopped dead in the middle of the sidewalk, staring at her hand. She averted her eyes, incredibly flustered, and fumbled for something to say.

Tyler laughed softly and hugged her gently and quickly before walking away.

For the second time this week, Macha just stood there and stared at him as he walked away, incredibly confused, heart pounding. Dazed, she turned and stumbled home.
Tyler walked home extremely happy and sat down, not knowing what to do with himself.

Macha rubbed her eyes and looked up from her book, checking the time. 8:00, she’d been reading for about four hours. Yawning, she got dressed and slipped downstairs.
Tyler sat up sleepily then laid back down again. Morning.. He thought groggily.
Macha’s heart skipped a beat. Good morning. How’d you sleep? She rabbles her fingers lightly against the kitchen counter, jittery and nervous.
Pretty good. How about you? He got dressed and went downstairs.

Macha yawned lightly, rubbing her eyes. A solid five hours, so pretty well. Inserting her earbuds, she popped outside, grabbed the mail, and came back in. At the top of the pile was an electricity bill.

Thats good. Tyler stood up as he heard a knock on the door. He walked over, opened it and immediately got pushed back inside, falling to the floor. Two men, including the one he had seen before, walked inside and shut and locked the door.

Macha felt a surge of fear spike through her and snapped her head up. Tyler??, she thought frantically, sending his fear.
