Carrio pulled the large saxophone case from his home, turned and locked the door, then hobbled over to the bike.
“Hey. Ready?”
Carrio pulled the large saxophone case from his home, turned and locked the door, then hobbled over to the bike.
“Hey. Ready?”
"Yeah." Indra said. He held the door open for Carrio and his case, and made his way to the piano.
Carrio set his case down and unlocked it, pulling it open to reveal the love of his life: His saxophone. He smiled happily and pulled it together, then threw the strap over his shoulders, checking his reed.
"That's quite an instrument." Indra ssid. "Check out mine." He pointed to the corner of the room, to reveal a hulking yet also skeletal piano, with Western and Italian stylings.
Carrio examined it. “You can’t have one normal thing, can you?” He gave a slight laugh afterward. “No offense. I like the style it gives you.”
"You're damn right I can't." Indra said. "But thanks. You too." He paused . "Shall we begin?"
Carrio nodded. “What should we play?”
"How about we improvise." Infra said, playing a few notes that sounded like something from the Cowboy Bebop opening, not that he even knew what that was, but still.
(yAs)
Carrio rose his sax to his mouth and played a quick scale to warm up before joining him in thr few note playing.
Indra slid his hands gracefully across the keyboard, they glided across effortlessly, producing smooth notes that more or less blended together. He let the music rest, and continued, his notes getting erratic and haunting in a beautiful way.
Carrio joined in the erratic notes the best way he could. His fingers flew across the glinting keys as he played, but the speed he went at was effortless. He played like no present-day saxophonist could.
Indra was sure there had to be some people wondering what was going on
Not because the music was loud, in fact, it was rather soft, rather it was that both of the guys were so supernaturally talented and efficient. Indra was this way due to his enhanced agility and speed, but Carrio, well, eho the hell knew why.
Bruh I’ve seen really good saxophone players before in my lifetime don’t gimme that. He’s played for yeaaaaaarrrrrrssss he deserves to have that awesome feat.
(That's what he means. He has no idea how Carrio can play so well without enhanced agility qnd speed such as himself. He's going off the assumption of sheer skill, especially because he doesn't sense magic.)
(Ah alright!)
(Hiii!
(Yaaas the gay bois)
Your move, Emi!!!
Carrio pulled his mouthpiece away for air. He was a talented and fast player, but this took a lot of air. He caught his breath and listened to Indra play for a while.
Indra smiled, looking back. He understood. He began to play piano, using his supernatural talent for combat to play, as if striking the keys were the same as striking weak-points in an opponent's body. His arm spasmed, going off key as chills ran down it. They ran down his opposite leg, ad that too was demonic.
These limbs were not yet fully his.
Carrio winced at the off-key note. He opened his eyes to watch Indra spasm wildly.
“Are you alright there, Indra?”
Indra continued playing as if nothing happened
"I guess these limbs aren't wholly mine yet." He explained. "You're quite skilled yourself." He complimented.
Carrio accepted the change of subject. “Thanks. I’ve been playing since I was seven.”
Indra started to play more softly and slowly,
"That explains a lot." Indra replied.
Carrio hummed and held the saxophone carefully. “Yep. People always wonder how I get so good.”
"You are quite the saxophonist." Indra admitted, continuing to play rhythmic notes.
Carrio hummed gently with the music. “Thank you. You’re quite th pianist.”
"Yeah, but it's not as hard as the sax'. Indra said, his misgivings about himself beginning to surface.
Carrio chuckled. “I think it is, Indra. It is quite the instrument.”
"Yeah, It's big. But I only have to use my hands, you as a saxophonist havr to use both ypur moyh and hands." He pointed out. The music started to fall, becoming slower and softer.
