(a very violent person)
(Lol. Nope…)
Cameron glanced at her. “What? You find my poor shaving funny?” He laughed anyway amd nudged her gently.
"Actually, I think it's cute," Lilah said with another giggle. She moved her kiss to his lips and smiled as she went back to eating her pancakes.
Cameron rubbed his stubble again. It was quite itchy. “It may look cute, but it’s a right pain in the tailbone.”
Lilah pouted at him for a moment before going back to her pancakes. "Okay. Whatever you like, Cam. Anything you want to do for your birthday?"
Cameron glanced at her. “You think I’d look good in a beard? That’s what this leads to if I don’t shave. What I want to do? Dunno.”
"No, not a beard. Just the stubble," Lilah said with a smile, taking another bite of her breakfast. "Should we go to the lake?"
Cameron snorted. “I’d look like a serial killer. Or someone who is very unkept.” He patted Lily’s head as she got down to go check on Lilac, something she’s been doing for a while.
“The lake sounds nice.”
"We could go swimming, too! If you want to, that is," Lilah added quickly.
Cameron grinned and leaned against her. “Swimming sounds great too.”
Lilah glanced up at him and smiled, pecking his cheek before going back to eating her pancakes. "Cool!"
Cameron kissed her cheek gently, his stubble tickling her cheek. “Cool indeed. Where should we go eat?”
Lilah giggled again and shrugged. "Wherever you want to go. It's your birthday, after all."
Cameron rubbed his face, itching little parts of it. “Hmm… I think eating here would be good.”
"Okay. What do you want, then?" Lilah asked, eating her last bite of pancakes. "We could do spaghetti. Or tacos. Or… Um… A salad?"
Cameron cocked an eyebrow. “A salad? I think spaghetti would be good.”
"Hey, I was just trying to name things I could make, okay?" Lilah laughed as she gathered up their plates. "I'll make spaghetti, then."
Cameron chuckled with her and went to get out of bed. “Let me help clean up.”
"Nonono! You get to be lazy today. I can do it," Lilah insisted, waving him off as she struggled to take everything in one trip.
Cameron rose and took a moment to stretch. “You’re struggling. Let me help!” He trotted over, grinning.
"I've got it, honestly!" Lilah assured him with a smile. And then she dropped a plate, which, thankfully, didn't break.
Cameron ducked and grabbed it swiftly. “Gimmie gimmie.” He started to take plates and bowls and cups galore.
"Okay, okay…" Lilah sighed, letting him take some stuff. "But now you get to help me with the dishes, too."
Cameron grinned. “It’ll be a blast.” He led the way to the kitchen and looked around. “My goodness. What happened here?” He asked, addressing the mess.
"Hey, I did this all by myself. You try it without making a mess," Lilah said defensively as she set her dishes in the sink.
Cameron laughed gently and nudged her. “Just tugging on your leg. Let’s clean this up first.”
"I know you were," Lilah said, shooting him a smile as she started to clean up.
Cameron got some paper towels to clean up the flour on the counter, then went to the dishes. He washed some by hand, then into the dishwasher that they purchased a few months back, and some were clean enough for him to be popped right into the machine.
