(So Lilah will then be 19 when Cameron turns 21?)

But
(Wait… What?)
The site is speeding up again
Which means I can edit the post to be twenty-three again.
I’d rather the first one because it makes sense. Lilah has birthdays, too.
(But… Whose age are we changing, then?)
Both?
Right?
(No…? I thought we were going to change one of their initial ages, then, after skipping, add two years to them both.
Wow. That was really confusing and probably made no sense…)
(Okay yes. But I was saying I liked the first one of keeping their ages how they are and adding two years anyway.)
(So they're 17 and 21, changing to 19 and 23?)
(Yes. Is that alright?)
(Sure. I'll respond now. Lol.)
(Neat)
Cameron stretched awake slowly. Lily gave a low growl in annoyance, but leaned forward to boop her nose off of Cameron’s stretching arms.
Today was June 7th. It was Cameron’s birthday. More specifically his twenty-third birthday.
He didn’t want to be this old. He disliked the idea of old age. A lot.
Lilah rolled over in bed and blinked her eyes open sleepily. She smiled upon seeing Cameron and moved to sit up.
"Good morning," she said softly. "Happy birthday, Cam."
Cameron yawned and relaxed into the bed. “Morning, Lilah.” He grinned a bit. “It’s that day again?” Of course everyone knew Cameron wouldn’t forget his own birthday.
"No, it's Lincoln's birthday… Yes, it is, love," Lilah chuckled, bending over to kiss his cheek. "Stay here."
Cameron chucked and sat up slowly. “Alright, I’ll stay here.”
Lily barked up at Lilah as she moved, then scrambled onto Cameron’s legs.
Cameron huffed in an amused manner, rubbing his dog’s head.
Lilah smiled at Lily and rubbed the dogs head before getting out of bed. She adjusted her black shorts and sapphire blue tank top when she was standing, then called Lilac over from her bed in the corner.
The Germain shepherd was getting older and older each day, and each day it seemed to show more and more. This morning, for example, her ears perked up at the sound of Lilah's voice, and she struggled to get up. Her tail still wagged happily, even though it had taken her a bit longer than usual to stand, and Lilah frowned a little as she pet Lilac's head.
Giving Cameron one last smile, she headed out of the room and to the kitchen. Today, she would make her boyfriend breakfast in bed.
Cameron watched this sadly, and clicked his tongue for Lilac, gently patting the bed. “Come here, girl! Come here!”
Lily gruffed and put her nose where Cameron was patting. She wagged her small tail.
(Sorry. Had to grocery shop and pick my sister up.)
Lilah scooped some food into Lilac's bowl, humming to a song in her head, then moved on to getting stuff for pancakes.
About a half an hour later, pancakes were done, the kitchen a small mess, and Lilah somehow had flour in her hair. She piled a plate full of pancakes, grabbed butter and syrup, and carefully made her way to the bedroom. Bumping the door open with her hip, she walked in with a bright smile.
"Happy birthday, love," she greeted him, though she'd already said it.
Lily was licking Cameron’s face happily, for he had laid back down. He was spluttering and trying to push the dog off, and he succeeded in doing so by sitting up when Lilah entered. He smiled a bit, at her messy hair and at the food in her arms.
“Thank you. You didn’t have to do all this!”
"I know! But I wanted to," Lilah declared as she made her way over and sat down beside him. She was careful not to let Lily get any of the food and bopped the dog's nose.
Lily barked softly at her and sniffed at the food as Cameron accepted it. “It looks amazing.” He smiled warmly up at her and rubbed a spot of flour off of her nose.
Lilah smiled at the gesture while blushing at the compliment.
"I hope it's good. I tried a new recipe today," she said with a small shrug.
Cameron spun a fork in his hand. “I bet it’ll be wonderful.” He kissed her cheek. “Thanks again, honey.”
"You're welcome, babe," Lilah whispered with a smile and burning cheeks.
Cameron smiled again and cut into the pancakes. He enjoyed his breakfast in bed, deciding this wasn’t a bad start to the day. As he finished up, he wondered what else Lilah had in mind.
Lilah had jumped up and grabbed a plate for herself, noticing on her way that Lilac had fallen asleep by the oven. She smiled and walked back to the room, already eating pancakes.
Cameron let Lily lick off his fingers. He grinned a little and rubbed his fingers on his chin. With his dismay, he realized he needed to shave again. He sighed a little. Wonderful. He hated shaving. He was the absolute worst at it.
Lilah sat down beside Cameron again and licked the maple syrup off her lips before kissing his cheek. His stubble tickled her lips and she hugged a bit.
Cameron glanced at her. “What? You find my poor shaving funny?” He laughed anyway amd nudged her gently.
(I meant giggled… How did I not notice hugged?)
