Slyvastor relaxed into the wall with a sigh, his exhale drifting up to the ceiling. He was unaware of the approaching offender, and relaxed into a doze.

When Lake scanned around for anyone who might see her. When she saw nobody, she quietly opened the basement door, making sure it didn't creak. She quickly shut it behind her again. 'Wait. The light's on!' She grew scared, afraid somebody had found the trapdoor to her "Apothecary" as she so lovingly called it. She snuck down the staircase. Lake peeped around the corner. It was Slyvastor! She let out a relieved sigh. He hadn't found the door.
(Oh dear. I believe we skipped over Cabbage's controllings of Jack. [Totally butchered my grammar, but whatevs.])
Slyvastor’s eyes flew open and he looked over at Lake.
“L-lake! What are you doing here?” He scrambled up, hoping she didn’t spot the burn marks on his arms, hands and legs. So maybe he burnt himself. It didn’t matter…
Kristofer wanders over to the basement door while snacking on a granola bar. He kicks it once then quickly moves away from it so he can’t be considered the one who kicked it.
Lake noticed the burns. She looked down. "I-I don't wanna say…. but those burns need to be taken care of… How about you let me take care of those, and we both keep our basement ventures to ourselves… ok? We'll say you burn yourself on the toaster oven in the kitchen while main toast."
Slyvastor shook his sleeves over his arms. “It doesn’t matter. I’ll just go upstairs.” He shuffled a little before starting to hobble to the steps, his burns prickling fiercely.
Hunter stepped into his closet and sat down, taking deep breaths to ward away the attack that he could feel coming on. Let mE tAkE OvEr hUntEr
Kristofer watches the basement door. Waiting for whoever is down there to come out. He watches while eating another granola bar. He chuckles to himself. bet someone is making out down there.
Lake grabbed his arm and yanked him back, covering his mouth. "Shhh! Somebody's at the top!" She hissed in his ear. She let go of him and ran over to a dark corner. "Quickly! Before they find us!" She dragged away a rug and opened the trapdoor underneath and jumped into the hole.
Slyvastor squeaked as she jumped down into the door. He pulled away from Lake, his breath catching in his throat.
“Why are we down here?”
Kristofer continues to watch the door. He finishes off his granola bar and stops watching the door to go find something else to eat.
Keri laid her head back on the couch and closed her eyes, trying to take a nap.
She gives him a look that says, “Will you just shut up for a second?” Then she gropes around in the darkness surrounding them and grasps something. She pulls it out. It’s a rope. She yanks it. By the power of some sort of mechanized rigging, the trapdoor shuts, and the rug gets pulled back over it, submerging them in pitch blackness. She tells Sylvastor in a flat tone, “Stand still, you might break something. I need to find the lamp.” And she moves off. Soon, a small flame sputters to life in an old fashioned hanging lamp, spreading light on a small room with jar-filled shelves covering the walls. A workstation is off to one side covered in books, herbs, papers, and various tools and empty jars. Dried herbs hang from the ceiling. She points to the bench in front of workstation. “Sit.” Then she goes to rummage through the shelves, looking for something. “At least it’s almost silent down here.” She mutters.

(I pray not. Lol.)
Tom walked out of the kitchen, humming happily. "Hey kiddos, how are you guys?"
Kristofer blankly ignores him while munching on a granola bar.
Keri opened one eye when she heard Tom talk and groaned, he was probably going to ask for someone to help make dinner.
"Okay! Who wants to help make dinner?"
Kristofer facepalms. He looks up and mutters “guess I’ll help.”
"thanks Kris!" she yelled to him before rolling over on the couch and closing her eyes again.
"Actualy, All of you are going to help, that means… HUNTER GET DOWN HERE." Tom yelled upstairs, hearing a stomp and a dramatic sigh.
(Just waiting for Emi…)
Keri yelled "noooo!!!!" into the couch and rolled off of it and onto the floor, crying fake tears the whole time.
"Oh shut up," Hunter growled as he stomped down the stairs.
Keri stood up and walked over to the stairs, a pillow in hand. she hid in a doorway and smacked Hunter in the face as he went past, she then started laughing hysterically and ran into the kitchen, not waiting for Hunter's reaction.
Hunter's eye twitched. Keri knew, she knew and yet she still did it. Hunters eye's grew more twitchy as he let his other, more murderer, side take over.
Keri stopped in the kitchen and caught her breath before running out the front door, knowing what she had just started. she ran and started climbing a tree in the yard barefoot, smiling and giggling the whole time.
(Sorry!)
Salvastor gazed around but heeded Lake’s words. Finally, after the trap had shut, he felt it safe to speak.
“What.. what is this place? It smells earthy…” He trailed off, sniffing the herby air. He liked it, but it was odd to smell from a basement.
"KERI!"
