"Well I- Hurt you?" That part stopped her. "How so?"
"Well I- Hurt you?" That part stopped her. "How so?"
"Not that you necessarily would hurt me - well - I mean - okay, well, long story short, I've housed a couple of girls who needed help over the years and not all of them turned out so well, y'know. We went on a couple of dates and then they all left, as usual." Alton sighed and shrugged again. "It just might not end up amazingly for me."
Shoot. "I- Yeah." She didn't really know what to say. What was she supposed to? She had been running away from everything her entire life: it was all she knew.
"It's okay. Not many people have a good response for that." Alton sighed again, turning back to the cooking breakfast.
"Do you expect them to?" What would the right answer even be? She looked to him making breakfast. There were some moments she saw something in him and others she saw something broken. She wasn't sure which one this was.
“Not really.” He shrugged, finishing cooking breakfast.
She sighed, still slightly curious. "Do you want them to say something?" She wasn't sure exactly what she was doing, just that she was. Why do you even care?
"It depends. Sometimes I'm really sick and tired of being alone, and other days I just want to be alone, y'know?" Alton shook his head, dishing up the breakfast.
"I guess…" She thought she was lying, but somewhere, in the back of the heart she'd chiseled from stone, she could feel where he was coming from.
Alton gave her her plate and sat across from her. "Do you?"
She turned to look at him. "I mean, I haven't really had anyone, so I guess I wouldn't know." She used to, but that was a long time ago.
"Fair enough." He mumbled, starting to eat.
Red nodded slightly and began to eat as well. "Thanks, by the way, this is really good." She had to take one arm out to eat, some of the warmth leaving her, but she still had the blanket wrapped around her.
"Thanks." Alton's mouth twitched up.
Luckily, the breakfast was hot, so she was warming up. She slowly shrugged off the blanket and finished the food, grateful she had anything.
Alton finished, bringing his plate to the sink.
She stood with her plate, the blanket still on the chair, and walked over. (Yeet I'm trying so hard to rack up the chemistry, but idk idk I can't find anything in this tiny brain of mine, any ideas???)
(hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmagh I'll try and cook something up
cook
get it
no
okay)
"Here, I've got it." Alton took the plate from her, his hand momentarily brushing over hers.
(XD I got it)
Something ran up her skin starting from the point he touched her. It was almost as if a shiver had gone up her spine and brought butterflies back down. What was that? She hadn't ever felt that before. She took her hand back, holding it in attempt to warm up said shivers.
(lol)
Alton, too, felt a shiver along his hand and arm. He froze for a moment, trying to work out the feeling, then turned back to putting the dish in the sink. Don't go on this trail again.
(screams
(It's a shipping rp lol
I ship it too so much tho)
(No such thing XD)
Her entire brain was focused on trying to figure out what it was. So much so, she didn't notice that as she walked back to the table, a chair leg stood in her way. (oOF idk)
(lol)
Alton heard Red fall. He dropped what he was doing and ran over to where she lay. "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, helping her up by putting his arm around her neck.
It ran up her spine again. Fudge. She sat up with his help, blurriness filling her vision. "Yeah," she said through gritted teeth.
"Are you sure? Your eyes are clouding…" Alton gently set her in a chair.
She could only nod slightly without the world blurring. (Sorry it's short)
(It's okay)
"Here. Hang on for just a second." Alton rummaged in the closet until he could find the antibiotic. He put some in a cup and passed it to Red, squatting beside her chair. "Here."
She took it, mentally thanking him. (Gosh I'm so frfrazzleddddd sorryyyyy )
(it's okay)
"You look like you're about to faint…hang in there for me." Alton picked her up gently, bridal-style, and carried her to the spare room to rest on the bed.
