I shook my fur and peeked around the corner, making sure to stay quiet this time and not disturb the pair.

Lupus was still chasing the grasshopper, his location given away by the trail he left in the tall grass. Eventually, he lost it and sat down, his ears barely visible above the grass.
Byrd smiled at Lupus. He was adorable!
"Byrd? Where did you go?" Lupus turned in circles in the grass, not able to see much around him. He had wandered away from Byrd while chasing the grasshopper, so even looking up didn't do much good.
Byrd snuck up behind him, and jumped out, letting out a huge bark. When he yelped, she turned him over softly and nuzzled his stomach, a way of tickling him.
Lupus pushed his hind legs against Byrd's chest, trying to push her away unsuccessfully. He yipped cheerfully, licking Byrd's snout after he had given up on trying to push her away. (Puppyyyyyy)
( I know I love it! )
Byrd got off, and pushed him into a sitting position with her snout. "Where's your mother?" she asked.
"Um, my parents should still be in our den, unless they're awake by now. If they're awake, dad's probably hunting and mama's probably still in the den anyways." Lupus stretched, yawning a bit and not seeming too concerned about being away from home.
Byrd smiled. "Your so brave being out on your own!" she said.
"Yeah!" He hopped from paw to paw, unable to sit still for very long. "I like to come out and play by myself, since I don't have any siblings and my parents don't care too much for playing."
Byrd barked. "Wanna play with me?" she asked.
"Sure!" Lupus got into play position, wagging his tail in the air as he prepared himself to jump away at a moment's notice.
They are so cute! I sat down with an audible THUMP. Maybe someday I will have friends here too! I hadn’t noticed I made a noise so I continued to sit where I was.
Byrd started to tickle Lupus again, laughing softly.
Adolfa walked behind the silver and black wolf watching a pair. Adolfa had never seen her around before, "Hey, are you new?" she barked.
I whipped around to see a strikingly white wolf. I widened my eyes in fear and stuttered, “ Y-yeah, I’m new.”
(Can I join?)
Lupus stood between Byrd's front paws, eyeing the newcomer nervously.
(Yeah you can join) I turned around again to see the wolf pair looking at me. Great, I’ve been discovered. By three wolves nonetheless,
Byrd looked around. Where did all these wolves come from?
I stood up but staggered visibly. I started shaking so bad that I had to sit down again. Oh no, what if they are like the wolves I met back at Slough Creek? Will they gang up on me because I’m near a little pup? I HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS!
I started to breath heavily. Stay calm, they’ll think there’s something wrong with you. If you want friends, Sofie, you have to be brave and talk to them. They are obviously nothing like the Slough Creek wolves, I thought to myself.
“S-sorry, I just freaked out a little there…”
( guys if I don’t reply when I usually do, which is this time and in 8 hours, it’s a) my internet hates me or b)I had to go somewhere
"No problem, I'm Adolfa, what're all of your names?" Adolfa asked. If they were all there, they might as well introduce themselves.
Atlas was still in her den although she should have woken up earlier. She yawned, finally waking up, and walked out of her den. She saw some other wolves after walking around a bit.
"I'm Lupus! Oh! I remember what it means now! My parents said it's 'wolf' in Latin or something." Lupus sat down, wagging his tail.
Byrd laughed. "I'm Byrd." she said, nuzzling Lupus's head.
“I’m Sofie.” I sat down and glanced at the sun which was halfway to sunhigh. (sunhigh is when the sun is at its highest point or its halfway through the day)
Mara yawned. She exited her cozy den and blinked in the sun.
