Smile of sun
Frown of rain
Laugh of a spring day
Happiness, joy
love, sadness
anger and pure hate
A circle,a loop
a story told thrice
And only told once in the sun

Laugh of a spring day
Happiness, joy

Farron rubbed at his temples with a sigh.
“Suppose you’re right, you always are I guess.”
Herla laughed and shook his head a little, placing a hand on his brother’s shoulder, “That’s why I took the throne and you didn’t.”
“No, you took the throne because you’re the oldest.”
Azura stopped her singing under her breath when she heard the faint sound of voices. Without a sound, she crept a bit down the hallway, just far enough to make out the voices of Farron and his brother around the corner. She leaned in to listen, careful not to make a noise.
“Eh, another true fact. Let’s say I took the throne because for both those reasons… and you didn’t want it.” Herla shrugged.
“You’re right, I didn’t. And I’m happy in the position I’m in now,” Farron replied.
“But you do know that if something were to happen to me, you’d be next in line.”
“Yes, yes I do know that. It’s one of the reasons why mother and I come back, to make sure I don’t have to take the throne.”
He's next in line? Azura thought to herself. Well, I guess that makes sense, since the king is is brother. . . But how can he go with me if he has duties to the throne?
"I know that, Farron. And you probably won't have to take the throne. But… you need to be prepared." Herla's tone became serious and cold.
"I am prepared. I've been juggling two trainings for my entire life I think I can handle being king if I need too." Farron nearly snapped back but held his anger back.
"I know you can… I'm just worried for you."
Azura peeped around the corner to see the two men better; Farron looked angry.
“I don’t need you worrying about me H. I’m not five anymore.” Farron took a minute to calm his breathing, “Look, I’m not going to ascend to the throne, I’m fine. You don’t need to look out for me anymore.”
Herla sighed and rubbed at his forehead, “I know. I’m sorry.”
“No, no I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have gotten angry. When’s the meal gonna be ready?”
“In a few minutes, you should go get Azura.”
That was her cue. She speed-walked down the hallway and shut her door, right before Farron turned the corner. She quickly looked for something to do.
Farron fiddled with the hilt of his sword as he knocked on Azura’s door. He then placed his hand behind his back and waited for her to answer.
She peeped her head out the door. "Yes?" she asked, although she looked completely uninterested.
"The meals ready, feel free to change quickly now if you wish. There's clothes in there somewhere." Farron said, with a small sigh.
"Great. I'm starving," she said, and quickly shut the door. She looked through the closet in the room and saw lots of stunning gowns, but she decided she would be true to herself and wear a commoner's skirt. Unbeknownst to her, however, she looked great. It was an emerald green skirt with white flowers aligned at the hem, and her bodice was an even lighter green. She tied the strings loosely, brushed her hair, and walked out of her room to the dining area.
In the time it had taken Azura to change and walk to the dining area, Farron had already done the same. Sporting the usual black pants and shirt, he now also wore a navy blue leather jacket, the hems lines with patterns of gold and the silver buttons shined in the light. His black hair was a mess atop his head but he couldn't bring himself to care. He was home. He looked to Azura when she came in and gave her a small smile and pulled out a seat for her at the table.
"You didn't need to do that, I could've done it myself," she said. Nevertheless, she sat down. She avoided eye contact as Farron sat. She tried her best not to look in his direction at all. She was determined, but that didn't mean she succeeded.
The meal arrived shortly after. It wasn't as fancy as some of the meals at Rosguard but it still tasted delicious. A selection of roasted and spiced meats and vegetables, freshly baked bread, small savoury cakes, gravy and roast potatoes. Farron grinned at the selection and piled up his plate with food and Herla did the same.
Azura quickly ate, not even bothering to fill herself up. She then stood up, nodded to Herla, and excused herself. She went into her room and changed back into her commoner clothes.
I need to go on a walk, get some fresh air, she thought. She made her way towards the doors of the castle, trying not to make too much noise.
Herla and Farron exchanged a look as Azura left and they continued eating. After a while, Farron knew Azura would try and leave or something along those lines so he waited by the entrance doors quietly. he leaned against the wall and ran his hands over his face and through his hair, making him look extremely tired.
Azura tiptoed down the hallway. She was looking behind her to make sure no one was following her when she bumped into something.
"Farron?" she said.
“Azura. What are you doing?” He asked, sloping a hand casually into his pocket.
"Uh- I was just- I needed some fresh air," she said. She forgot how upset she was for a brief moment.
"So, uh, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head out now."
“You don’t know this city, let me come with you… please.” Farron gently took her hand in his and gave it a squeeze before letting go and holding the door open for her.
Azura's frown broke into a small smile.
"Okay, fine."
She went out the door and started walking slowly.
Farron walked with her, hands in his pockets, “Azura I… I’m sorry for not telling you about where I’m from, for keeping secrets. You don’t have to forgive me but I really am sorry…”
"Farron, It's not that I don't forgive you, because I'm not mad at you. It's just-" she stopped for a minute.
"We ran away together. We are in this together. That means we have to trust each other. I trust you with all my secrets, because that's what friends do. And it feels like you don't trust me. Do you, really?" She looked up at Farron with those blue eyes of hers.
Farron grabbed her hand in his, “I do trust you, Azura. Please believe me I do. But you have to understand there are things I can’t tell you, for the sake of my city,” He paused for a moment, “This place… it… it’s very different from Rosguard and I… I can’t tell you things because I don’t want you hurt.”
"Don't you think there were things that I wasn't supposed to tell you? I don't need your protection, Farron. And this whole process is going to be a bit risky, that;'s just the way it goes. What is going to make a difference in whether we succeed or not is how much we are willing to trust in each other, and believe that everything will be okay. I mean, what possible reason is there for not telling me you had a brother? It's not that I'm hurt, but it's just that, well-" she huffed.
"I thought I knew you, and I was so wrong. And now is not exactly the time for figuring that out, what with our running away and all."
Farron rubbed at his face and another muffled 'I'm sorry' floated up. He was about to say something else when a group of kids came running up to the two of them and attacking Farron with hugs. His solemn expression changed and he had the biggest grin on his face as the kids bombarded him with questions until one asked, "Who's this?" She asked, looking at Azura, "Is she your spouse?"
"UHH NO" Azura was quick to reply, and her face turned a soft pink. She bent down to the little girl who had a big grin on her face.
"My name is Azura! What is yours?"
The little girl told her her name and how old she was. Azura seemed very interested in all the girl had to say.
"How long are you staying for? How do you know Farron? Are you sure you're not together?" The girl, Sabrina asked walking over to Azura and Farron put his head in his hands with a groan, causing the other kids to giggle and laugh.
"Calm down Farron, she's only little, it's fine." An older girl and boy said in unison. The twins, Kalli and Kane.
