"Hey… It's fine." Zerin said, in a closed position. "I see the… Um… The crest on your shirt… Is it possible that you're royalty as well?"

"Hey… It's fine." Zerin said, in a closed position. "I see the… Um… The crest on your shirt… Is it possible that you're royalty as well?"
Xavier looked down at his cloak with a look of disgust. "I thought I had removed the crest. Yes, I am of royalty but not proud of it."
"Erm… Oh… S-sorry." Zerin said, shying away slightly. "You come from the domain on that side of the woods?" Zerin asked, pointing. He looked at his own crest.
"Huh? Oh, yes I am. We're allies with everyone, though. We're always neutral, so I have no worries coming through here, yes?"
"I've heard we're pretty neutral ourselves." Zerin stammered again. He could smell something.delicious. Probably wild fruits.
Xavier shook out his hair, helping to air out his neck. Zerin was washed with that smell. It was Xavier.
He smiled. "That's good. Say, would you like to have a picnic with me? I have a basket of food. I packet extra in case I got hungry, but you look a mite hungry yourself."
"I have one myself…" Zerin said, pulling his basket from behind the bush. He had prepared it himself. He scrabbled up the rocks, and scurtied back to the prince and horse, setting it down.
(Such wholesome fluff.)
Xavier smiled and scootched back on the horse so there was room in front of him. “Get on, then. I know a wonderful clearing we can feast in.”
Zerin started to go along at a decent pace, the sun shone through the trees, sometimes casting rays on the freckles dusting his nose.
(Xavier was inviting him to ride the horse with him)
(Zerin is unwilling to do anything that scary. Smol scared bean, remember?)
(O.o)
Xavier moved forward again, tugging the reins gently for his horse to start moving. He hummed gently, his good-smelling hair waving happily behind him.
Zerin followed, jogging at a decent enough pace to keep up. He made sure his basket was fine.
Xavier lead him to a pretty little clearing. It was spacious and wide and the grass was cut back a little, suggesting Xavier had been there repeatedly. He stopped his horse and let it loose, getting down off of it. He was rather tall, at about 6’0.
Zerin arrived very briefly after, kneeling down to open his basket of foodstuffs.
"This is rather splendid!" Zerin called, laying down.
Xavier plopped down, his cloak making him look like a patch of light-blue sky. “Yes, it is. I rather enjoy coming here on a daily basis.”
Zerin cast a glance upon the Prince, still undoing his basket, before getting it undone.
"Y-yeah." He mumbled. "It's a nice day as well."
Xavier took out a couple samdwiches and a bag of chips with a couple sodas. He cracked one open, humming.
It was Zerin's turn, and he'd brought a bin of raspberries, several sandwiches, two bars of chocolate, and a bit of juice. He took a sandwich.
Xavier unwrapped one of his sandwiches and happily started eating it. His horse grazed slowly, dragging its facd along the ground.
Zerin tried to initiate conversation, horribly as usual.
"So… Um… What exactly are you here doing?"
Xavier perked up a little. “Excuse me?”
"Oh, I just… I-I just wanted to ask what you were visiting the forest for…" Zerin responded, eating his sandwich.
Xavier hummed. “I always come out her when it’s so nice. May I ask why you’re out here?”
Zerin blinked.
"I just… Wanted to see some… Uh… Nature, I guess…" Zerin explained.
Xavier smiled. “The nature is quite beautiful in these parts. I was thinking about planting a few flowers.”
"Oh, well… That's nice!" Zerin said, scouring the area around himself. "Does your land have a garden?"
“Our soil isn’t as fertile as it should be because of our towns.” Xavier sighed.
"I can relate." Zerin murmured. He finished one sandwich.
Xavier polished off both of his sanwiches and started on his chips. He loved getting the dust all over his fingers and cloak.
