Cameron walked with her, pausing to grab his wallet. “So are you driving, then?”
Cameron walked with her, pausing to grab his wallet. “So are you driving, then?”
"Sure. Unless you wanted to walk," Lilah suggested. "It's not far from here."
Cameron nodded. “We can walk. See how the people are.”
"Cool. It's a good day for walking, too," Lilah mused as they stepped into the elevator.
Cameron pressed the ground floor button. “It is a nice day. I hope everyday is like this.”
"Me, too. Then we can go on walks around the lake and take the dogs with us," Lilah agreed, smiling wistfully.
(every day. Sorry.)
Cameron smiled too and leaned against her. “We’ll have a wonderful life here. I just know it.”
(I thought you were correcting me and got really confused for a few seconds. Lol. Honestly, I didn't even notice that one.)
"I could go anywhere and have a wonderful life as long as you were with me," Lilah whispered, looking up at him.
(Lol. I noticed that and felt really annoyed with myself, is all.)
Cameron smiled and leaned his forehead on hers. “Same here. I don’t know where I’d be without you.”
"Probably bored out of your mind, twiddling your thumbs," Lilah teased with a light chuckle. She wrapped her arms around Cameron when he leaned against her.
Cameron laughed gently. “Probably. I’d have Lily, though she probably wouldn’t be as happy without Lilac.”
"True, true. I think Lilac enjoys her company, too," Lilah said as she stood in her tiptoes slightly.
Cameron kissed Lilah all over her face happily. “We’re almost on the ground floor.” He glanced at the pannel and let her go.
Lilah frowned a bit when he let her go and turned to glare at the monitor.
"Okay… So Mexican food and then grocery shopping. Anything after that or in between?" she asked, turning back to Cameron.
Cameron shook his head. “Nope. But we should go clothing shopping soon. Again.”
"How about we do that day after tomorrow? That way we can spend tomorrow getting comfortable in the apartment," Lilah suggested with a smile.
Cameron grinned and nodded. “Sounds good. For now…. walking!” He trotted out of the elevator.
Lilah laughed as she followed him out. When she caught up with him, she linked her arm through his and leaned against him.
"I'm hungry…" she murmured as they walked.
Cameron hummed slowly. “I am too. I can’t wait for Mexican.”
"Me, neither. I've been craving some good Mexican food lately, too," Lilah admitted.
Cameron laughed gently. “We've just been two hungry people, huh?”
"Yup!" Lilah chirped with a light giggle.
Cameron held the front door open for her and tailed her outside, inhaling deeply. The smooth watery oxegen felt good in his lungs.
"Why thank you, kind sir," Lilah giggled as he held the door for her.
Cameron laughed and took her arm again. “You’re welcome, my dear lady.”
Lilah hummed contentedly as they walked through the town. Every once in a while, a friendly person would smile and wave in their direction, and she would do the same back.
Cameron saw one of these exchanges and smiled a little. “This is a really great town.”
"Yeah, it is. Everyone seems really nice," Lilah agreed as they neared the restaurant.
Cameron bumped into her a little. He smiled happily, as if he just thought of something good, but didn’t voice it.
"What was that for?" Lilah asked with a light laugh at the bump.
