Zackary beamed and tailed her. “It’ll be an adventure. Adventuring. Yes.”
Zackary beamed and tailed her. “It’ll be an adventure. Adventuring. Yes.”
Afriel dragged Zackary around from place to place trying to guess where he wouldn't get bored. "This town is slightly boring when it comes to adventuring huh?"
Zackary was carefully hiding his emotions. He was actually enjoying watching the people of the town mingle and collectively live together instead of squabbling.
“It’s still fun, though.”
"I guess." Afriel shrugged. "Anywhere you want to try next? Because I don't think any clothing shop will interest you." She laughed slightly thinking of how bored he'd have been.
Zackary puckered his lips. “I dunno. I could use somme new clothes.”
Afriel raised her eyebrows at him, "you want to go clothes shopping?"
Zackary smiled. “I mighhhhhht…”
"Are you trying to prove a point? Or do you really want to go shopping?" Afriel tried to hide the slight excitement that came into her voice but was failing.
“I’d go with you.” He grinned at her. “It’d be a great reason to hang out with you.” And an innocent reason to look at you…
"Uh-huh." Afriel let a small smile cross her lips. "Then let's go! Lead the way."
Zackary turned and started to trot up the street. “Where were you thinking?”
"You're the one that said they needed clothes." Afriel shrugged.
“Do you want me to wear the same thing over and over?” Zackary asked exasperatedly.
"I mean that shirt does look good on you." Afriel smiled, "though it would get boring."
Zackary waved a hand. “Stop it. You’re embarrasing me. I wonder if I could find any more….?”
"Embarrassed?" Afriel gave a small smile and leaned closer. "But seriously, don't buy any more. Don't get me wrong its hot, but you'd get bored of them. Trust me."
“I’ll never get bored of flannels. They’re my life. I love them.” He looked at her.
"Fiiine. Lets find somewhere that sells flannel." Afriel sighed and took a step back.
Zackary huffed. “I’ll heed your advice, though, since you’re the only one who takes care to look at me. C’mon.”
"Hmm, alright." Afriel started off twords the first clothing shop she spotted.
Zackary trotted after her, humming softly. The pair walked into the quaint little clothing shop, and all around were human-like clothes for both males and females.
Afriel looked on in amazement. she wanted to go over to the women's section but quickly pushed Zackary over to the mens. "Lets find you some flannel!"
(*flannels. Flannels are a type of jacket with a striped pattern.)
Zackary grinned, letting himself be pushed. “Right! Right! Flannels! No need to push me!”
(Ooooh. Pardon my lack of clothing knowledge.)
Afriel stopped pushing Zackary, "right, sorry." She laughed a little.
(The only reason I know this is because I have like, twelve flannels xD)
Zackary rolled his eyes and fluffed himself out. “I can look for my own clothes if you want to get something else.”
(Oh gosh. xD my dad has some but I've always called them jackets.)
"Nah, shopping never really been my thing." And it was partly true, Afriel never had much time to shop, with the hole war going on and stuff.
(Thheeeeeey’re flannels!)
Zackary rolled his eyes and meandered around, selecting a few pairs of jeans, some undershirts and boxers as well as a few sweaters and a flannel.
“Alright. Your turn!”
(Ack. Okay okay.)
Afriel laughed at how fast Zackary grabbed his stuff. "Not going to try anything on?"
“I know what I want,” Zackary responded breezily. “Your turn.”
Afriel reluctantly shuffled over to the women's side. A gray shirt catching her eye.
