(Quick question, could Rigel’s cape be vantablack?)
('o course)
Rigel enjoyed his place in Xander’s arms for just a few more moments or so before he finally nodded and murmured, “I think I can stand…” He slowly brought his foot to the ground, hesitantly -reluctantly- standing on his own. Rigel’s eyes found a cape of the purest black, you couldn’t even see the form very well because of it. He picked up the fabric, wrapping it around his shoulders and smiling tiredly, “How do I look?”
"You look like an adorable kid coming downstairs early in the morning for his christmas present." Xander said, returning the smile. He took his grey cape and placed it around his own neck before going back to Rigel. "You need some rest, when can we leave here?"
Rigel looked at the others, a questioning look on his face, “Uh… I…” Rigel wanted to leave, that was for sure. He wanted to go somewhere safe, or find some kind of real shelter, and just let the tiredness take hold. It’s been a long day…
Xander left the cape on his neck and walked over to Hawkin. "Can you… summon an explosion like ten meters away from us so we can leave this cave, or are we waiting for something in here?" He checked his watch, seeing that it was late in the afternoon and he still hadn't ate anything.
Hawkin scratched his head. "I don't know. I mean I could summon an explosion, but I think that we should also stay here… I don't even know. We should maybe sleep here tonight…"
"Why not find a decent hotel or someone create food out of nowhere. Out of all the powers we have, does seriously no one have the power to create things out of thin air?" Xander asked in disbelief. He was most definitely not going to starve in a cave let alone sleep in one.
Hawkin looked around. "I don't think we have anyone that can make food appear out of thin air. If we are on the South Carolina coast, which I think we are, I'm pretty sure I can get you to a hotel. I'll just need some money. Or a card…"
"If someone has a working phone with them, I could possibly access my account." He looked back to Rigel who still had a tired look on his face and he would hate to see it worse if they decided to sleep in the cave without a pillow or blanket.
Hawkin took his phone out of his pocket. "Mine still works, but I need service for it to actually work. I mean I could get to my savings account, but I need wifi… I need to find a good gas station…"
"Let's do that while it's still light outside, we don't want to end up in a motel in the middle of nowhere." He said, tightening the cape around him more.
"Yeah… Ok. Well come on people let's go. Let me get you to a motel in the great state of South Carolina…" Hawkin sighed, and walked toward the exit.
Xander went back to Rigel and picked him up, knowing that he would be tired on the way out. He took his cape off and put it on Rigel too, ensuring that he was warm enough. "We're going to go find a motel." He told him gently, following Hawkin.
“That sounds… really… nice…” Rigel replied with a yawn, happily closing his eyes when Xander held him. He’s just so warm… Rigel listened to Xander breathing, it was like a steady drum beat. Sleep ate away at him, he couldn’t even open his eyes anymore he was so tired.
"Yeah… Ok. Well come on people let's go. Let me get you to a motel in the great state of South Carolina…" Hawkin sighed, and walked toward the exit.
"You okay?" Kylie asked, matching his stride as they walked.
Hawkin nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine. I just didn't like the small coastal towns… The people were always too harsh, and very unrefined. Plus, if I guess where we are, it's really close to my home… People will probably recognize me, and then I'll have to explain why I'm back so soon, and then life gets annoying, and then I go crazy."
“Is it any consolidation if I promise to punch anyone in the face who does that to you?” Kylie asked, tilting her head.
Hawkin turned sharply. "Oh my gosh yes! Is it bad that I want to kiss you again?"
“Not really.” Kylie smiled gently.
Hawkin shrugged. "Why not. Rox will kill me after… What do I have to lose?" Hawkin leaned in and kissed Kylie right in front of everyone, making sure it was long enough to make Rox a slight bit angry…
Kylie grinned and pulled away, trying to surpress a giggle.
Hawkin laughed after he kissed Kylie. "Guess I gotta run before Rox strangles me with shadows!!!" He grabbed Kylie's hand and gently pulled her with him, as he picked up his pace.
Kylie laughed as the wind blew her hair out of her face, running along the beach with Hawkin.
Hawkin stopped. He smiled into the wind. He loved the smell of the ocean, and he loved how the sand felt under his feet. He turned toward Kylie. "Isn't the ocean beautiful today? It's just a good day today…"
“It’s a good day, perhaps.” Kylie inclined her head. “I really couldn’t say the same thing about the ocean.”
Hawkin nodded. "Yeah… I forgot about your fear of the depths of it……. I'm sorry…."
“It’s okay. It’s not like I’m in it.” Kylie took his hand.
Hawkin nodded. "Ok. As long as you're not freaking out on me…"
(I gtg for the night… My mom isn't going to let me stay up "late" urrrrrrggggg…..)
(Alright bye!)
“Not unless I’m in the water, I won’t.” Kylie giggled.
(I convinced her for 10 more minutes….)
Hawkin smirked. "I guess putting you in the water would be a really bad idea then?"
