( So sorry my computer was at my dads)
Luke sat at the table waiting for somnething to happen
"Okay, so no new people. How's everyone doing? any problems?" After a second, she adds "I made cookies and cupcakes, so feel free to eat some." She worked at a bakery, so making stuff was really easy.
Luke smiled and finally spoke. " Im new." Luke frowned
Out of all the powers Kenna had, she wished she had telekinesis so that she wouldn't have to reach for a cookie. She pushed her seat back a bit, took one, then leaned right back and continued listening to what she was saying.
Moira grinned. "Oh!!!! A new person!!!!!! Finally!!" You could almost see the excitement as if it was bubbling out of her. "Okay well uh, why don't you introduce yourself, and i guess we can do an icebreaker or something?" She still didn't really get running meetings, which was unfortunate for her.
" Well for starters I am a elemental god just i can't use my powers cause i need to learn how. My name is Luke Dawson."
Flair looked longingly to the cookies. If she wasn't so nervous, she would go up there and grab a cookie. Her fire powers weren't very useful when she needed them. Turning her attention away from the snacks for a moment, Flair looked up to see a new person. He introduced himself as Luke Dawson. Luke Dawson… Why does that sound familiar??
Luke looked at the cookies and grabbed one and munched on it. " Mmmm Whats in these therw sow good." He said with a mouth full of cookies
Aethelind listened politely to the new comer, muttering a levitation charm. Two chocolate chip cookies came floating towards her, one of which she handed to Flair. A god?
Moira was a little confused about the whole God thing too, but if this dude really was a god, it was probably best not to upset him. “They’re sugar cookies with just a little bit of sunlight!” She said.
Well. Kinda. My mom and dad were both gods and my mom took my powers away until I became mature. I still don't have them and I have to get them back somehow so I was like. ' Why not try to become a witch?!' So I came here to become a witch instead.
"well umm, alrighty then." Moira was a little unsettled, to say the least. A god??? here??in her little coven (?) ?
Aethelind fidgeted quietly, stroking Holly to quiet her.
( Just pretend he dosen't get his powers back and he becomes a witch.)
Luke knew they wer unsettled. " Do you want me to leave?" He asked. " I know im different but im sure ill fit right in."
Moira smiles. "Nope, you can stay if you want. " Her smile fades. "Onto more depressing news, has anyone else felt a disturbance recently? Some kind of., dark energy? Maybe it's just me but…"
Luke was knew here so he didn't know. " I just got here not but 2 hours ago."
“I noticed something.” Aethelind spoke up. “My cherry blossom branch, I use it to detect different energies. It’s been wilting all week.” Chamomile (chipmunk) stirred on her shoulder, agitated.
"I- I sensed it too." All eyes turned to Flair. "My- um- powers. They're normally warm-ish? Like it normally feels warm like- like a campfire but now it's like a raging forest fire, and uhm it makes me feel uneasy using them.." Not to mention the things I found near my house…
Moira shrugs. "Everytime I try to draw magic, its a little harder than usual. Almost as if……there's not enough sunlight left"
“Exactly.”, Aethelind agreed. “I just tried a levitation charm to get a cookie, and it felt as if I was moving it through water. It was harder.”
Luke looked at the girls. " Oh im sorry!"
"What are you sorry for?" Flair asked the so called god. She didn't believe that he was a god, especially since his name felt like a faint memory lost to time.
" For you experiencing wierd things. And yes I am a god by the way. I- I- Never mind." He walked away noing he probally wasn't welcome. " I think i'll go home now as for you two aren't much help to me."
"Okay…" Kenna mumbled, slightly confused as to why he repeated the same phrase. "I haven't experienced these things, is it good or bad?"
"The fact that you personally aren't experiencing it is probably good, it could mean that you have some sort of strength against it, or that your branch of magic is more heavily protected against it. The fact that some others are means that there could be some sort of darkness in the magic system, maybe a Black Magic rising somewhere." Aethelind shivered slightly.
"Where could that possibly be?" Kenna asked, leaning back in her chair.
"I don't know… our magic could be affected because we're in close proximity to whatever is happening, or witches across the globe could be affected as well. We'd have to reach out to know, the last major uprising was way back in WW2."
Moira shrugs. "It could just be a rise in the amount of magic-users, sapping the energy but…" She trails off and gestures to the small amount of people around her. "We're the fourth biggest coven in the North East, so I don't know about that. Maybe something….sinister is afoot."
"If it was a rise in magic-users, I don't think my cherry blossom branch would've wilted. It only does that when there's a high concentration of negative energy in the air." Aethelind chewed on her bottom lip.
