Hawkin pursed his lips. He turned toward Kylie. "Remind me not to go down a shadowy alley with Rox. She would take all my money, and beat me up…"

"And get some creeps to buy some drugs." Rox added.

"You guys. Stop. Arguing."

Hawkin nodded. "And there's that. So please remind me not to go down a shadowy alley with Rox."
He turned toward Kylie. "That's not arguing. That's just stating a nice healthy respect for someone would could kill you with a shadow."

Rigel slumped in Xander’s arms, vaguely aware of what was happening but not too inclined to focus. Rather, he just sapped off of Xander’s warmth, letting out a small hum of pleasure before asking softly, “Is everyone… safe?” If everyone was okay after Rigel attempted to use his powers… that was all that mattered to him. Maybe he was finally getting a handle on his powers…

"Depends on your definition of safe." Kylie inclined her head.

(Maybe shadows could suffocate you of something? Like they can swirl around you masking your head in a vacuum, idk.)

(I think the vacuum thing would be better for void, but I dunno(?))

“I didn’t… hurt anyone?” Rigel mumbled, blinking his eyes slowly and leaning in to Xander.

"No…you didn't hurt anyone." Kylie reassured.

"Yea," Xander responded tenderly, holding onto Rigel tighter. "Tell me when you're ready to stand on your own because we have pedestals with capes for us." He looked through thee different colors and designs and saw one with a storm cloud and small bolt of lightning on it.
