Allowing his eyes to revert to their normal color after the evaporation of his Kagune, Victor turned around and scooped up the messenger bag he had been carrying. The blood that had leaked through one of the packages had since ceased, and the stain was now dry. Staring at it, he said, "I'm gonna go home, and look at the news. I'd say that if she got a good enough look at our faces, there will be something on the news." Victor paused and slung the bag over his shoulder, "Hopefully that isn't the case."
Tae was silent but he nods. Turning, he starts to walk along the street, taking off his mask. He really hoped he didn't have blood around his mouth. He had no where to go. He didn't have the money for anything. Not even the smallest stuff in the carts that venders sell.
Victor had since taken off his mask and was padding down the sidewalk, holding his mask from inside of his hoodie pockets. His jeans had a rip on the left leg from the investigator he and the other Ghoul had met, and dried blood was under the fabric. Turning off into a service station, Victor walked over to a refrigerated section full bottled coffees. His hands were still shaking as he opened one of the doors.
Tae starts to run down the street. A few on lookers muttered darkly at him but he didn't slow down
Victor scanned the shelves briefly before taking a couple of bottles of black coffee off of the refrigerated slats. He carried the bottles up to the counter, letting the clerk scan them before he paid and eventually left. The streets had become less crowded, and the bundles of people had dissipated within a matter of about half an hour.
Stumbling down the street, Hiyori finally came to the large automatic doors of the 21st ward's CCG headquarters, listening to the positive beep of the Rc Scan Gate. She walked up to the counter and slapped the notebook down on its black marble surface. The office had since closed to the public but was open to those that worked there. She turned around and plopped down in a chair, holding her side as she did so. The wound had ceased its bleeding, but still ached as it was new.
(Man. Im writing so little XD Sorry! I'll expand)
Tae slows down, stuffing his hands in his pockets. He lifts his hood over his head and keeps walking. He walks past a large cemetery the 21st CCG headquarters. He shivers slightly as he does but his pace never changes. He had no idea where he was going just had tunnel vision down the sidewalks.
(No, it's okay, type as much as you're comfortable with.)
Hiyori's eyes floated down to the ground and stayed fixed there. It was still dark and she guessed that no one would be in the building for a few more hours. By now the coffee had worn off and she was having trouble staying awake, her eyelids closing every now and then. Her Quinque case was splattered with blood on one corner and sat messily propped up against the leg of the chair she was sitting in.
Walking down the street with a clear plastic bag in one hand, Victor stared down at the ground as he walked. His legs felt wobbly as he went down the sidewalk. Occasionally, someone would give him a sideways glance and he assumed this was because of his disheveled appearance.
Tae snarls to himself. He was thinking hard as he walks down the many streets and sidewalks. Eventually he found himself at a park near the edge of a large pond.
Victor speed walked past the CCG building, not wanting to stay out any longer than he had to, especially around the ward's main building. Keeping alert for any sounds even more so now because of where he was. He wrapped the handles of the plastic bag around his hand a few more times, trying to keep it as still as possible.
Tae walks down a dark alley way and sits down in the middle. He was just behind at least three trashcans
Finally turning onto the street that his apartment complex was on, Victor jogged up the stairs and unlocked the door. He took the bag he'd been carrying and flung it onto the couch, flipping on the lights. 'At least I'm finally here…' Victor thought, plopping down on his couch and turning on the news. He reached into the light grey bag and took out a bloodied package. The bundles had taken a bit of a beating over the past few hours and were now cold.
Tae rests his head on his arms and sighs.
(Sorry for the horribly late reply!)
Finally allowing her eyes to close, Hiyori slouched in the waiting room chair in which she was sitting. She didn't care how disheveled she looked, someone would see her report in the morning and understand what had happened. Things hadn't exactly gone as she had planned, not in the least, but she still got away alive and with loose descriptions of both of them.
Victor watched as messages flashed onto the corners of the screen, trying his best to read them all in time before they cycled to something else. So far he hadn't seen anything that could count as a warning to look out for him or Tae.
Tae opens his eyes and they where back to their original, strikingly blue color. He looks up through the crack between the buildings to the starry sky.
(It's painful for me to notice how dead a lot of the other threads are ;-; )
Victor sat back a bit more, one of the packages slipping from his hands. For a few weeks now, all he had really done was go to work and come back home, going out only to get coffee or to pay bills. That fact had made his running around lately all the more exhausting. (Time skip to the next day?)
(I know! AH! IT WOULDN'T LOAD!)
Tae's eyes close on the city and all sounds cease as his body falls to the side on top of three full trash bags. (Sure)
(Mine wouldn't load last night either, it took about two hours for just the home screen to come up.)
Hiyori's eyes opened up to the bright overhead lights of the CCG waiting room, someone was gently shaking her shoulder. Small spurts of shooting pains tore through her left side as the wound was also moved. Waving a hand around, she shook off whoever was waking her up. Opening her eyes a bit more, Hiyori finally realized that it was the receptionist, who had gotten to the building before everyone else.
Sprawled out on the couch, Victor slowly woke up. He had fallen asleep in an awkward position, with one of his legs off of the couch. The bag had since been moved, and he guessed that it had been emptied, and the contents put into the freezer.
Tae was already up and about. Shooting through the streets, his mask flashing in the light slightly and eerily.
Now in the bathroom, Hiyori began wrapping up her side in gauze. She had already cleaned the gash with alcohol and peroxide, and was gazing at the slowly closing wound.
Victor shut the door behind himself, walking out onto the porch of the apartment complex he lived in. Shoving his hands into his pockets, the Ghoul walked down the street. He hadn't brought his mask with him, so hopefully nothing too accurate had gotten through to the CCG. Rounding a corner, he continued walking down the street, heading for work.
(I won't be responding as much as I used to)
Tae zipped past a street but screeches to a halt and doubling back, "Hey! I know you!"
(No worries,)
Victor nearly fell over as Tae appeared behind him. Whirling around, the Ghoul was surprised to see who had spoken. "Oh, hello?" Realization flashed into his mind as he recognized the mask. "Do you wear that thing everywhere?" Victor asked, stopped on the sidewalk.
"Pretty much now a days. With the officials running around everywhere now." Tae shrugs, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. He chuckles slightly, looking behind him into the alley, "Fancy meeting you again though. Coincidence?"
"Hm, I can't wear mine everywhere… I have a job," Victor said, relaxing a bit more now that he knew he wasn't being attacked. "I honestly didn't remember you at first,"
"Thanks. That means Im doing my job right." He smiles under his mask.
