"For the meeting? A couple of those guys know me too. They wanted to hire my services, I said no. So we're not on the best of terms. I think I should plant the device. I'll know the range and I don't want you to get caught. Even if they don't know you, they wouldn't appreciate you sniffing around during their meeting. If I get caught, I can take care of myself. And, if I get caught you have to leave me and get these people to safety. Got it?"

Asura tensed at the sight of Matthias, feeling a flash of anger. He glared at the man before crossing his arms and looking away, trying to contain himself. "The one thing I told him was to not get too drunk, and look what he fucking did," he growled.

"Thank you." Lila stopped the car at a red light and turned to Ryver. "I just –" she turned back to face the road. "Don't want you to get hurt."

Bastian burst through the door, and he quickly shut it behind him. He looked rather roughed up, and he had a patch over a cut on his cheek and the beginnings of a bruise just below his eye. "Motherfucking sore losers," he breathed out, and he took a moment to catch his breath before sitting up and fixing his mess of blonde-black hair

"Holy shit, what the hell happened?" Axtin questioned, voice concerned since his cheek had obviously been bleeding. He was worried for him if he was being completely honest.

“Some asshole I raced got pissed he lost, so he got his fucking gang to chase after me. Took me half an hour to lose them, and then I had to park a block away and hide my car because one of the fuckers spotted me just before I got here,” Bastian grumbled before finding a seat

“So i see you had a calm evening.” Rain said calmly, with a flash of concern on her face.

"I…I know." Ryver turned and looked at Lila. "I promise i will stay in the car."

"Thank you," Lila said. The light turned green and she drove on, turning into the parking lot of the cafe. She looked at Ryver as she unbuckled her seatbelt. "Do you want to come with me or stay here?"

"Cool." Lila reached back and grabbed her shoulder bag from the back seat. "I'll be back." She got out of the car, swung the bag over her shoulder, and started walking towards the cafe, her demeanor hard. A few people she recognized were in there and few people she didn't. She walked in the door at 12:30 sharp. "How the hell did you guys get in here?"

"Cool it, it's only a minute late," Axtin commented, slight irritation in his tone. Lila seemed like quite the uptight person in comparison to himself. It was weird…

"Actually, I told everyone to be here at midnight. To give you all plenty of time to get here. And don't tell me to cool it," she snapped at the boy. "You don't know what we're dealing with here."

"And that's why you're here," he said in a snarky tone. "I really don't want to make an enemy out of anyone here, so please if you'd not talk down to anyone… Well, that'd be great," Axtin finished, sitting in a more relaxed manner.
