Elijah stepped protectively in front of Chase as they watched the stranger leave. "Hey, are you okay? Did you know him?"

Chase shook his head, explaining quietly, “I didn’t, and he kinda acted weird around me earlier too,” He shrunk where he was standing, chewing on his lip, “It just kinda creeped me out.” He looked up at Elijah, slightly ashamed of how cowardice he was, “I’m- I’m sorry.”

"Hey, hey, it's okay. It's not really your fault if someone like that is… themselves around you. You did nothing wrong." He reached forward and took Chase's hand in his. "So, ice cream then?"

“Uh,” Chase smiled a tiny bit, “Yeah, that sounds really nice,” He glanced at their hands together, then his smile grew, “It sounds amazing.” But… Chase knew he should tell Elijah about his synesthesia, to just tell him so he’d know before Kemp and Jacob started laughing about it and Elijah would find out secondhand.

Keri giggled and stood up, she grabbed her phone and book and asked " are you ready to go now?"

" Yes lets go shall we?" Cayden said waving towards the door.

"we shall," Keri said in a very bad english accent and opened the door for Cayden "ladies first." she said and giggled.

Elijah grinned. "Then off we go to the ice cream place!" He started walking.

Chase smiled a little, following close to Elijah. I suppose I should just enjoy it while it lasts… He looked up at Elijah and tried to be a bit less nervous as he asked, “So… What do you like to do around here?”

Cayden laughed and gave her a tiny push towards the door. " I am proud to be a man!" He joked

Keri giggled and walked outside, waiting for Cayden to tell her where they were going.

Cayden laughed and started walking. " Well i'm just going where the road and life takes me!" He said laughing.

Keri giggled "well, this road is going to take you to the park," she laughed and pushed him onto a different road to lead him to the park.

Cayden laughed as he saw the two boys from the coffee shop and walked over to them. " Hey aren't you two from the coffee shop? Do you guys wanna sit with us?" He said ordering two icecreams for him and his new 'Girlfriend'.

Keri blushed and looked at the ground as Cayden talked to the two boys and ordered ice cream. She was excited and nervous being out in public with Cayden and soon had a giant smile on her face.
