(Heading to bed. Night.)

Elowan shook her head. "Oh, I hate babies. Every single time I pick one up it starts pooping. I swear I'm actually cursed sometimes." There had been one harrowing incident when Elowan had to babysit and ended up permanently staining one of her favorite shirts. Not her finest moment.

Ash laughed, trying to imagine what it would be like to see Elowan taking care of a baby. After thinking for a few moments with a small, concentrated frown, she dismissed the thought, hoping that she could see it one day. "My turn. Favorite food?" She asked, looking up at Elowan.

"Easy. Traditional Asian noodle bowls, especially ramen. There's this great Korean-Japanese fusion place around the block and I eat there all the time. Anything spicy'll do in a pinch, though." Elowan's mouth was practically watering at the memory of the spicy ramen bowl. It was sooooooo tasty. "How about you?"

"Sushi. Loads and loads of sushi," Ash said, a small smile quirking the corners of her lips up as she thought about the food. Of course, the last time she had only gotten real, good sushi was on her 11th birthday, though now she and her brother resorted to the cheap, street restaurants. She still loved that sushi too.

"Yeah, I like sushi too. As long as it's spicy as hell. Honestly, I'll eat anything spicy." Heat never really bothered Elowan. One time she ate a spoonful of wasabi without finching on a dare and now her taste buds were pretty much ruined. "Um… Are you going to college? If so, what's your major?"

Deleted user

"I don't really know if I'm going to college, though I might want to do something related to medicine," Ash said after a moments pause, letting out a small sigh. Getting herself into college was the one thing she didn't like to think about.

"Yeah. I'm not going to college. I make a living doing odd jobs and bartending. It's not the best life but I have enough cash to take care of Momma and Tivona so…" Elowan shrugged. She'd never been the one with big dreams or the means to achieve them. She was the fuckup teen pregnancy baby who kept her parents together through the fights. Annoying but it wasn't anything she could change. All she could do was support the people who loved her.

(If you wanted to join an rp, there's one called the "Broken Dream's Club." We need a couple joiners)

Ash nodded in understanding, resting her head against Elowan's shoulder in a comfortable manner. Sure, she had only met Elowan tonight and had possibly seen her only a few times at school, but she already felt at home with them. "Favorite book?"

(I'll check it out. Can you give me like.. a plot summary?)

"Hmmm. There's this one called Grave Mercy, part of some series. It's a mix of romance and political intrigue and assassins and old gods and stuff. I really love it." It was the thickest book she owned and she read it every couple of months. "How about you?"

Deleted user

(I think there's a small summary on the first page that explains it well)

"Huh, Grave Mercy. I think I've heard of that one before," Ash said with a small, thoughtful hum. Either one of her past girlfriends or friends had been completely obsessed with it too. "It's kind of dorky, but I like to read poetry or…philosophical works?" She answered with a small, embarrassed shrug. She had always enjoyed reading, especially when it came to things that made her think more.

(Cool, just submitted my character.)

"Oh, rad! One of my friends read this poetry book, Culture of One, and he loved it. It was a little too metaphorical for me though. Sometimes words have a hard time getting through to me. I think it's really cool that you like all those thinky books though." While philosophy just went over Elowan's head, she thought it suited other people well. Why not learn about morality and junk if it made you feel cool and smart? "Uh… What's your stance on gun control?"
