Vera’s cheeks went an even deeper red. “I-Okay. Thanks.”, she told Loilai and Kendra, taking off her cross and tucking it into her bag before stepping out timidly with them.

Tay immediately barreled out of nowhere and hugged Vera, "You're alive!"

Vera went bright red, freaking out internally. “Um, yeah. Hi.”

Tay smiled at Vera, "Hi!"

Vera blushed, realizing Tay was shirtless. She concentrated on his face, determined not to look down. “Um, when are the twins getting here?”

"In a few minutes, so get ready!" Tay gestured to the tables and decorations, "We decorated it pretty good, right?"

“Yeah, I’m sure they’ll love it.”, Vera replied, shifting some balloons so that they weren’t in the way.

"Of course they will!" Loilai sauntered over to Vera, "How fast do you think we can go to the store and restock on cheetos?"

Vera grinned, sighing. “Probably in… the minutes? But you’d have to change back into clothes, so longer.”

"I guess the twins can live without cheetos for a day." Kendra threw an arm over Loilai's shoulder.
Loilai wailed, "But I can't!"

Vera laughed. “Just out of curiosity, what do the twins think they’re coming here to do?”

"Well, they're apparently coming because, poor Felix, can't last a day without Marya! They're here to "cheer him up"." Kendra held up her hands in a mimic of quotation marks.

Vera grinned. “How long have you guys known each other?”

"Me and Felix?"

“You guys and the twins.”

"The twins." Kendra scratched her chin, thinking, "Well, they were put in detention for protesting the dress code and we kind of adopted them after a while."

“Oh lord, don’t even get me started in the dress code,” Vera muttered, smiling at this.

"They came to school wearing maxi dresses and high heels." Kendra laughed, "I have a picture."

“Really? You’ll have to show me sometime.”, Vera chuckled.

"Oh my god, it's hilarious." Loilai added, "I have it as my screensaver."

Vera chuckled, checking the time. “Can I see? That sounds awesome.”

Loilai opened her phone and showed Vera the picture. The two twins stood, side by side, with Auden wearing a purple dress that reached his knees and Ault wearing a cute v-neck yellow sundress. Both of them were wearing bright red 2-inch high heels and Audun was sticking out his tongue. Ault was wearing makeup and his messy orange hair was pulled into two small ponytails on the sides.

Vera laughed. “I love it!”, she clapped her hands. “Golden.”

"They're oddly proud of this picture." Loilai laughed, "But they did get the dress code to loosen up a little."

“Good for them! They’ll be here in about five minutes, correct?”

"About." Loilai shrugged.
