Liam shook his head at the message and finished getting ready but an idea struck him.
LIAM: I'll be over in fifteen, there's something I gotta do.
Grabbing his car keys, Liam decided to head to the shops to buy Kasey some flowers. He didn't know why he suddenly wanted to buy her flowers, but thought it would be nice to do, a thank-you for saving his life and an I love you gesture.
(Dude, I can hear an owl from outside… I never hear owls in the city, not even at night.)
Kasey had gotten up and was slowly making her way back to her bedroom when she got Liam's text.
KASEY: All right, no problem. See you then! xo
Liam quickly drove to the shops and brought some red and white roses. Once that was done, he returned to the apartments and up to Kasey's, knocking on the door before opening it.
"Hey, it's me."
(That's so sweet.)
Kasey had decided that she probably should get dressed, so she'd changed into a long black sweater and maroon leggings. She'd even brushed her hair and her teeth in the extra time she'd had before Liam arrived.
"Hey! I'm just finishing up in my room," she called, running her fingers through her hair once more before she stepped out. Her eyes landed on the flowers and softened immediately. She grinned and whispered, "Are those for me?"
(ehe)
Liam immediately became flustered and blushed a little, "Oh uh.. y-yeah they are. I-I thought I would um.. get you these to uh… say thank-you f-for everything, saving my life and all and um.. j-just because I love you… god this went better in my head…" He bit his lip and took a step forward, "F-for you."
Kasey lightly laughed under her breath as she stepped forward as well. She carefully took the bouquet and smelled the flowers before smiling up at Liam.
"Thank you. I love them," she murmured softly, reaching up to brush her lips against his.
Liam smiled softly at her, "I-I'm glad you do." He let out a small breath he didn't know he was holding and tilted his head slightly to the side and after a moments hesitation, connected their lips.
Kasey kissed him back gently, placing her free hand on his cheek. She held the flowers off to the side to avoid crushing them.
Liam placed his hand on hers as they kissed, trying to be gentle. After a moment, he pulled back and rested his forehead on Kasey's.
"I love you," Kasey whispered when they pulled apart.
"I love you more." Liam whispered back, not taking his forehead away from Kasey's.
"I love you most," Kasey countered, smiling as she whispered.
Liam gave a small smile back, "I love you to infinity."
"That's totally not fair," Kasey laughed, pulling away finally.
Liam's smile grew slightly, "How is it not fair?"
"There's nothing higher than infinity!" Kasey shook her head as she turned to go to the kitchen. The flowers should really be put away…
"I know, that's why I said it." Liam crossed his arms and followed Kasey, leaning on the countertop.
"But that means that I have no chance at loving you the most," Kasey said as she grabbed a case from under the sink. So filled the clear-and-blue-swirled glass with seater and set the flowers inside. She walked out of the kitchen to set the base on an empty table.
(I gtg. Long day ahead tomorrow/later…)
(Alrighty, see you soon and get some rest)
"Why is it always a competition with you?" Liam joked with a laugh as he walked over and hugged her from behind, resting his head on her shoulder
(Thx!)
"I dunno…" Kasey sighed, putting her hands on his arms with a smile as she rested her head against his.
"I don't know either." Liam mumbled, smiling at Kasey softly.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink?" Kasey asked softly.
Liam thought for a moment, "A glass of water would be nice, thanks."
"All right. But you've gotta let me go if you want it," Kasey said with a light chuckle.
"Aww…" Liam whined but let go, pouting a little.
"Don't worry, I'll be back in a few seconds," Kasey said as she turned to give him a playful smile before getting a glass from the kitchen.
Liam shook husband head and smiled, leaning against the table while he waited. He tried to stifle a yawn with no luck.
Kasey filled his glass and one for herself, then went back into the dining room. She handed him the water with a smile. "Here ya go."
“Thank you.” Liam sang before taking a couple sips of the water.
